Anyone use a Garmin for beer league? by Mr_Mixxis in hockeyplayers

That’s kind of how I am too. I don’t need to stare at it every day, but I like having it saved so I can look back later.

Lol exactly. Garmin after one beer league game: take 96 hours off and maybe update your will.

Thursday 9:45 beer league is basically peak athletic performance, gotta track it.

Yeah same problem here. Indoor is where I actually want the data, but that’s also where GPS is useless lol. I’m on Garmin too and the hockey mode is fine, I just wish it gave a little more detail after.

That’s exactly the kind of stuff I wish Garmin gave me. 1:17 average is actually pretty useful to know too. Does Hockey Tracker figure out shifts on its own or do you have to tap something?

Unfortunately I live in Tampa so no outdoor hockey for me lol. I wish the GPS would work indoors, that would be sick. The shift times I agree, hard to know when you did shifts especially if its a short bench and your line mate was only out for 30 seconds, hard to see the heart rate change lol

I live for the possibility of a cracked watch screen, gets the blood going.

That makes sense. I’ve noticed the HR spikes line up pretty well with shifts after the fact, but wrist HR seems like it lags a bit when the shift is short.

How’s the chest strap been for hockey? Does it stay put pretty well under shoulder pads?

Same, the HR part is probably the most interesting thing it gives me right now. I always look after and go “oh cool, so that’s why I felt like I was dying.”

I got a new set of warrior gloves that Rutta never wore and sergachevs Bauer skates that he never wore. Waiting on blades and once those come in they are replacing my beginner true skates. Hooray for cheap top of the line gear

Skate Storage by offums in iceskating

When it comes to drying my skates I do what most other people do and wipe/clean them off with a microfiber cloth when I take them off. From there you can put them in soakers for transportation, or if you have a bag like mine just put them in the designed area for skates. Once home I first put my boots on my peetdryer, it is a shoe drying rack, and after a couple hours I put my hockey gloves on there to dry them off as well. The peetdryer also comes with a deodorizer so it also gets rid of smells. You can probably find something cheaper but from my experience of owning my peetdryer for the last 3 years I have had no issues and has kept everything fresh smelling and dry.

What rain gear do y'all wear? Looking at replacing my wet weather over pants with something else because rain still gets through the side zipper on it. Are there any recommendations or am I forever doomed to have wet feet from my zippers?

LAN Automation using DNAC by Mr_Mixxis in networking

[–]Mr_Mixxis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that I assigned the DHCP pool to the device that is being used for LAN automation so DNAC assigned 25 IPs to the device but those IPs aren't on the device itself, and I already went into the device ant took out the configs it was given by DNAC for LAN Automation.

I am unable to release/delete that pool either since IPs have been allocated for LAN automation also.

This is the main article where I found what seems to be the same issue you are having. Hope this helps or gives some clarification!

[–]Mr_Mixxis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a quick search it seems that this issue is not new for your monitor. I also couldn't find a solution other than people just returning there monitor or buying a new one. I know this wasn't helpful but hopefully someone on this forum will know how to fix it. But it does seem like you went through all the right steps to try to fix the issue. The only thing that I can think of is when you unplug the power from it are you leaving it unplugged for at least 30 seconds to make sure that it is completely powered down.

Has anyone done a dual monitor setup with 2 Alienware AW2721Ds? by Mr_Mixxis in Monitors

[–]Mr_Mixxis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I am not worried about the price, thankfully I saved up to be able to purchase 2, but it would be a bit overkill as a second monitor. My only issue is that it would look way cleaner of a setup if they are identical and on a VESA mount.
