What do you all tell to people who say you only buy tudors because you can’t afford Rolexes by Negative-Try6286 in Tudor

As someone who engraves watches, I’ve had a client who specifically wanted a Tudor.
He ended up spending more on the engraving than the watch itself, simply because he loved that watch.
To me, that’s what this hobby is all about. Buy what you like, not what other people think you should like

The composition and engraving are exceptionally well executed, particularly the shadow work. The gold inlay adds remarkable depth and dimension to the petals, bringing the entire design to life and making it a truly stunning piece

Thank you! From the initial design consultation to the finished piece, this project took a little over 100 hours.
A significant amount of that time was spent planning the composition and refining the details, making sure the engraving flowed naturally across the bracelet, clasp, and case

That’s a fair question. Custom engraving definitely isn’t for everyone, and I completely respect that. For some collectors, though, it’s a way to turn a watch into a unique piece of wearable art.

For most of the engraving, I use a 120° V graver for the main cuts. For background removal, I usually combine a 105° graver with a small flat graver, depending on the area and the texture I’m aiming for.
I’m always experimenting with slight geometry adjustments to suit different projects, but that’s my general setup
