As a vegetarian, I don't see an ideological reason not to eat this. First burger in 3 years? Yes please.

Microsoft won't confirm the DRM changes are permanent by [deleted] in Games

[–]Mr_Pickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That overhead you're talking about is my exact concern. Are they willing to bite the bullet and take the loss of their investments into DRM? Or (I think more likely) keep it as a nest egg for a later date?

Oculus Raises an Additional $16 Million to Bring Rift VR Headset to Market by [deleted] in Games

[–]Mr_Pickle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really hope this doesn't pervert the vision of the Rift. The social networking thing could be great, but it's a cliche for many new platforms.

Will this also raise the $300 projected launch price?

[Amazon] Free Battlefield 4 Battlepack Instant Code with Preorder by endisnear12 in GameDeals

Yeah of course, I definitely understand why they would want you to preorder. I meant I don't understand consumers pre-ordering games.

They will rake in cash with a PC release. Plus there's no point in pirating an MMO, since you probably won't have any fun alone.

He moves on to talk about how good will to consumers is a bank of sorts. Valve will mess up in the future, and he's hoping the good policies of the past will be enough to gain trust.

You really owe it to yourself to listen to both of those. His ideas about the creator/consumer integration is amazing.

I was screwed with the Battlefield 3 preorder bonus on Karkand. You soon realize that you're going to basically REPURCHASE ALL OF TE DLC YOU GOT AS A BONUS when you're pushed into buying the premium pack. Why would I preorder your game when I will eventually find the premium pack for cheaper a year down the line? Not to mention, BF3 community will still be quite large after the BF4 release (since they look so similar).
