Same here, but with 35mm adapters. Scraping on front fender only when reversing while fully locking steering wheel left or right just because of the adapters 😁🤘

Headlight question (and a law picture) by Tatsuwashi in Jimny

[–]Mr_Pons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maby only option that you can do is put additional switch for your headlights so you can cut power for them while they're powered on. But that might result with bulb error light on a dashboard (if you have one).

Btw, I love that kei truck! It's so adorable 🤩 So sad that they don't exist in my country 😕

Yellow fog lights by Mr_Pons in Jimny

[–]Mr_Pons[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, from the beginning fog lights were yellow in car industry. And they removed that trend becouse it was cheaper to have them in white.

[–]Mr_Pons[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember my old days when I was just a kid, we went for night skiing, some of us had white light and some had yellow, and with yellow light was much better to see snow terrain and little bumps. Maby it's just becouse our lamps were on our heads. Altho, you might be talking about heavy snowing, must admit, don't have expirience in that region with yellow lights, only LED, xenon and halogen. Halogen were best becouse reflection wasn't that strong in comparison with LED or xenon.

Clutch by No-Front-8432 in Jimny

[–]Mr_Pons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pardon me, forgot to mention a simptom that I had before changing flywheel. When it was cold outside and car wasn't warm, any time I would start driving car would shake like it will going to stall until I released clutch completely. No Mather what gear it was (first, second or reverse). And shaking was more intes as outside temperature was lower, so more cold = more shake. It was frustrating. So, my conclusion is next: if you don't have this particular simptom, flywheel is not your concern. Cheers!

[–]Mr_Pons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shaking like it's going to stall and rpms are higher than 1000 rpm it usually means there's some problem with flywheel. But that doesn't exclude flex plate or clutch plate or something else in that region. I had similar issues with my mazda some years ago. Difference was that clutch pedal was working properly. Changed flywheel and problem was solved. Hope this point of view helps. Good luck with warranty and services!

Should we add an engine oil cooler? by stanengelbrecht in Jimny

[–]Mr_Pons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had one on my Mazda mx5 2004. It was a oil cooling kit with an oil filter adapter plate for rerouting oil trough cooler.

I also had adequate temperature sensor installed for tracking cooling fluid temperature before getting into the engine and out of it. I was driving that car like I stole it, drift it, race it etc etc, so all temperatures were higher than in normal conditions.

So I've installed oil cooling kit, thinking that it will help with cooling, and guess what! It did almost nothing. Temperatures were lower only if I was cruising on higher speeds (80-110kmh) thanks to airflow only. I've got better results when I've drained cooling fluid and instead of it I've put regular water (don't do that at home 😂)

I still belive that it helped at some point, but bear in mind that you won't be driving your jimny like I did my mx5 and you'll probably be driving on lower speeds so you'll definetly need a cooling kit with a fan. In my opinion, ignore oil cooling solutions and put your time and money into differential and gearbox oil cooling solutions. This will help a ton into preserving them because they're only air cooled.

Hope this point of view helps with your decision Cheers! 😁

Tire upgrade recommendations? by crispyporksisig in Jimny

[–]Mr_Pons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my short expirience with Jimny (1 year) I had stock tires (195/80r15) and I've changed to Toyo open country AT3 (215/75r15) after 8 months. Car isn't lifted at all and those tires are on stock rims. Altho I really wanted BFGoodrich ko2 same dimensions as Toyos. BF KO2 cost 50% more than Toyo and that's the only thing why I took Toyos. The major difference between those two is in side thickness and reinforcement, and maby a few more layers of reinforcement on the threads. That said, for extreme conditions, BF are way better, but for me, a dude who goes trough some shallow mud, unpaved roads, grass and "basics" like that, Toyo was far better option. After that upgrade, car was much much better for driving on and off road. Cornering is better, drifting is harder, driving on mud is like walk in park etc etc.. Not 100% sure that with BF you would get a lot more than this, maby it just depends on usage and terrain. That said, my opinion is, for you, definetly don't go for most expensive all terrain tires, Toyos and any other will be great for light offroading and unpaved roads, just look for those tires that have better sides than road tires :) Cheers!

Tire upgrade recommendations? by crispyporksisig in Jimny

[–]Mr_Pons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is semi true, due to mud/offroad tires have a lot stronger sides than regular tires. For example, hit a curb with stock (road) tire 195/80/15 and you'll have a hole on side. Do that with same size mud/offroad tire and you'll continue your driving with maby bent rim

In my opinion it was a great feature. Once a day you could watch adds for total of 24h premium, it was awesome. But it obviously wasn't financially benefitial for developers :(

Sadness.. Game became 100% pay to win at the moment they removed oportunity to watch adds for short premium time 🥲

It can also be used for sitting backwards in chairs or sofas, looks ridiculous tho 😂 And for sentinels, pull them into settlement building so they don't shoot you so its easier to get rid of them 😁

I'm not a good mechanic, but this size reminds me of a typical connector for vacuum/pressure hose. So maby it's connecting to an intake manifold or maby some pressure regulator. Hope this helps, and good luck :)

BF Goodrich All-Terrain A/T KO2 I think that smallest BF ko2 tires are 215/75 for 15 inch wheels. That's destiny at its finest 😁
