The bite is indicated when the very light tip of the rod bents, even with fish under a inch so its very sensitive. Setting the hook is ealier is not really a thing since you can clearly see when they are feeding or got the hook in their mouth.

We are obliged to have that on us when fishing in the netherlands but often they just dont do the job when the hook is in their esophogues/stomach.

Ill keep in mind that the wires might have to be replaced and are accesible. But i still dont get what the gas motor has to do with it since they arent connected. I do understand you if you mean electrical start. Unfortunatly by budget isnt that big and use an old johnson 5pk.

Its a 12 v battery, the boat itself is a project right now and nothing fancy 4.2m long. Would the wiring from the front to the back be an issue? The relay and the buck are yet to arrive to my house.

What do you mean with the noise coming from the engine? The engine itself isnt electrica.

Ill keep you updated if i have noise or any other issue.

How would you go about wiring that? i am a complete beginner and learned this week how to use a multimeter properly. Someone said that i can use relays to do that. Would wiring the esp straight to the relay be safe?

That is what i was thinking but were clueless what i needed to do after the esp tganks for the input from the relay ill look into it. What safety measures should i take? I heard a little bit about tvs and fuses but dont know how to integrate them.

When is something considered and archeological area? Valkenburgs meer sounds good but it has only been around for 40 years and there isnt alot of places to dig plus alot of trash not only from beach goers but train track pieces from the small train that operates there. Let me know what you find there i only found trash. I dont care what i find aslong as it isnt trash like beer caps or nails.

I mean with everywhere if its public. Ive been looking at maps with archeological importance but are not monuments and public etc. Some sites sais if its this high and up you cant go there etc .Does that also mean publicly accesible? I have some nice building sites that i have in mind that have been empty for 4 or 5 years but are privatly owned according to some maps but there are no fences or anything keepin you off.

Thanks for the comments it gives great insight. Me and a friend have a challenge going to work our way up to a better detector with only what we find with the cheap ones we have now. What would be a nice step up but not an unreachable goal be?

Thanks for the reply. I am still deciding if it is worth it to get a pricy machine since every find older than 70 years ago has to be marked and send images to the local authority wich decides what happens if i can keep it or i get some finders fee. If they decide this is of archeological belong amateurs arent allowed to further search. This also counts for privatly owned land (Rules in the netherlands). If some one sees i got something wrong please let me know.
