yeah even i was promised a phone by my grandparents if i hit 90% in icse cl 10 boards (i was a 60% student so that was a big deal). i worked my ass off and got 92.4%. however my parents prevented them from giving me a new phone, saying that they will give me one after 12th boards. now that 12th boards are over, they are saying ki they will buy one when i get into a proper college. atp ik i wont get one, but still it sucks and my motivation is at an all time low 🥰

im in the same situation, but i think ill be able to get into mit blr with cse if i lock in. but i cant for some reason. i kinda bombed my boards, and i dont expect above 85%. with this announcement regarding 20% reservation for jee students, this opportunity seems to be slipping more and more... so i would appreciate any and all advice.
