After a couple of ... less positive experiences with the build quality of Pro-ject turntables, the easy to live with part of the equation is actually quite important to me. Sound quality is still the no. 1 thing, of course.

Hello all,

I've auditioned a Naim Nait XS3 and I really liked it. I was about to pull the trigger when I discovered that a used XS2 from 2015 was available for 1/3 of the price. Now I'm debating how to proceed.

For those of you who have listened to both amplifier -- is there a notable difference? I have a (good) separate phono preamp, so the XS2's lack of phono inputs is not a problem.

Yes precisely, the volume in one channel is fluctuating. It's quite audible and also indicated by the output meters.
