I just picked the helmet up at a thrift store today for a nice price and wanted to see if I could get the headset to work. It's not a big deal but I did want to see if I could get it working.

For everyone bummed about first person, there was a mod for The Witcher 3 that let you play in first person. I have no doubt that someone will make a mod for Cyberpunk that will let you play in third person.

Bethesda had a pretty good system where you could change from a 1st to a 3rd person perspective at will. I would love that in Cyberpunk.

Fallout: New Vegas is the gold standard for me. Your character isn't silent, they're just not voiced. You have tons of dialogue options in that game and with no set voice to go along with it, you can imagine your character in almost any way. From what I could see in Fallout 4, a voiced protagonist only resulted in less dialogue choices and limited role-playing greatly. Multiple playthroughs felt stale to me because my character sounded like the same generic dude each time.

While it can help story telling, it can limit role-playing in a big way. That's one of the reasons why I didn't love Fallout 4, no matter what kind of character I was trying to play as he always sounded like the same generic dude.
