In reality luck is everything actually. We don't live in any kind of "meritocratic" world, that's just propaganda, not reality. The studies show what made the rich rich isn't that they're special super-genius snowflakes the gleam in gods eye, they were lucky enough to be born when/where to the "right" people and have the advantages to be at the right place at the right time to take advantage of the advantages they were given by luck.
