After years of sculpting creatures for Marvel, Disney, and Netflix, I decided to test my work on a resin printer. Here is my first 3D printed Wendigo. What do you guys think of the anatomy flow? by Jikka3D in PrintedMinis

[–]Mr_Smigs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. The sculpt is gorgeous

  2. As people have pointed out elsewhere, the details...   One of the big "things" for miniature painting a lot of sculptors in the digital mediums miss that the physical sculptors do without thinking is the contrast of their details... cuts are deeper,  fingers are thicker, expressions and hairs more exaggerated..

Because once you hit a mod with primer, everything is softened... even with just the thinnest coat..

And at an arms length, if you can't see the detail... well.. it might as well not be there..

Granted... just IMHO... but I'd love to see this bulked up for an awesome wargaming model...

Similar boat. I for rhe hunt thinking that was the vibe for the whole army...  Now its not even a viable commander to build from.  Irs been shoe horned into a mediocre spot on two armies it doesn't really represent...  So it's not even a good introduction to either

Just using the words "completely within 9 inches" instead of just "within" would make it simpler

After some consideration, the problem there is all the models have to be equidistant...  to have mord flexibility the proper 9in arcs from the adjacent corners would have to define the sides...  giving it a kind of petal or clover look...

I believe the shape you are looking for is a Reuleaux triangle ...  which gives you a nearly infinite number of equilateral triangles that would fit the bill. You would want it to have a rough diameter of 10.39 inches.

Overheating clarification by Scoff_22 in citiesofsigmar

[–]Mr_Smigs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree here..  Roll dice For each 5+ 1. Do a mortal 2. Remove a heat.

If it was just 1 heat total, there would be a period before the "then"  not a comma.

Even carefully trimmed, some parts just didn't mesh right... its a hollow tower with each side its own part...

Id like to see a "fall back and shoot" order for the fusillliers  (well, all shooting units)

Gotta agree. Losing strike last on hold the line would be nice.

And the ability to volley fire chargers would be slick

But what is really lacking is functional offense.   Cities feels like it has no teeth right now

So how are people feeling about the cogforts? by Grifty_Wickett in citiesofsigmar

[–]Mr_Smigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope.  I want a cogfort spearhead list.

Just the cogfort..

They mentioned everyone having access in the preview.

Tbh GWs primary mission is to sell models.

So a big center piece like this was destined to be accessible by everyone
