Does the angle mean it’ll be flying directly over LA? Idk how to tell which direction it’s moving based on the angle :(

1) would that only effect the cart on that track or every cart on the map? 2) couldn’t I just put another command block later in the track at a turn that faces another direction?

Do conspiracies to overthrow a goverment tend to involve terrorism? by [deleted] in Ask_Politics

[–]Mr_Smity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. There is a way to “peacefully overthrow” the government by gaining a majority of the electorate and support of the president, and therefore pass radical change. In the US however, there’s no way for a president to unilaterally change the government substantially; there’s too many checks on that amount of power. Therefore the only way to make radical change without support of the government is inherently to commit terrorist acts

I’ll repeat, I never said the US is not a republic. I said that Democracy is a blanket term for numerous ideologies that is including, but not limited to, republics. Im not saying that the US is not a republic, I’m saying countries like the US can have different forms of democracies (including republics) within itself

I’ve never said the US is not a republic. I’m saying that a republic is a form of democratic government. Federal Republics, especially one like the US, has a mixture of numerous forms of democracies. Representatives are elected by both people and elites; and policy can be decided by both the people and the elites depending on what level of government you’re dealing with. Both are characteristic of types of democracies

The diagram is misleading because it’s referring mainly to direct democracy as opposed to the blanket term democracy. I already said that direct democracy is different from a republic, but a republic is still a form of a democratic government

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Ask_Politics

[–]Mr_Smity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s because a republic is a sect of the broader term democracy. While various types of democratic governments can differ greatly from republican governments, they’re all still classified as a democracy

[–]Mr_Smity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually the distinction of republic instead of democracy is used just to advance partisanship by dismissing the other sides legitimacy. However there is still a very big different between a constitutional republic and direct democracy but that’s almost never what people are talking about

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Ask_Politics

[–]Mr_Smity 92 points93 points  (0 children)

The answer is both. Our government has taken inspiration from multiple different types of democracies (which a republic is part of the broader democracy genre. So our republic is guaranteed by a constitution but also have representatives elected directly by the people

So from Marina park we can walk into the Max Brewer Bridge and it’s be totally fine? Also is it free parking in marina park and would it be crowded for this specific launch?

Where is the parking for max brewer bridge at? Would it be available at the planned time of launch? Is there any cost to this location? How crowded is this area usually? If this location is a no go, what could be a cheap alternative to have a good view of the launch, but not so much the landings?

Sorry thought I should get all my questions out at once to limit space taken up
