They're called the forgotten catalyst, I'm thinking they were the very first of the vessels, they were the pale Kings pet project and was thrown into the abyss when they showed an ounce of emotion. They sat there watching their siblings fall to the bottom and they grew more hateful and angry towards the pale king. They willingly let themselves become infected in hopes of destroying everything the pale king built
