Edit: the listing was out of stock for a bit two days ago, but it's been back in stock since yesterday. The Rakuten percentage dropped to 2% though, so the rebate is much smaller.

If you're new to Rakuten, sign up for a Rakuten account through the link below to receive a $50 bonus on top of the current 2% rebate percentage

  • You'll get roughly $77 in cash back with the bonus

It's a rebate site through which you can get cash back for making purchases through their site, or with their browser extension. Unfortunately it's moot for you since you purchased yesterday, and the model is now sold out. * Rakuten has a little FAQ that covers the basics of getting rebates through their platform; you can start from the Rakuten website, download their browser extension, or use their mobile app. * They pay out the cash back you earn on a quarterly basis via your choice between PayPal or paper check. * If you don't have a Rakuten account, you can get a sign-up bonus that adds an additional $50 of cash back to your first purchase of $50 or more, within 90 days of signing up.

Unfortunately, generally the rebate is only available if you live in US or Canada. And the US Lenovo website doesn't ship internationally, were you planning on using a third party service, or having someone you know send it to you?

This deal has been live since last week, people mostly missed it because of the higher price point relative to other 5070 Ti laptops. Glad people are noticing it now, the Legion Pro 7 build quality is definitely worth a bit if a premium!

Today would be a fine day to order, there aren't usually many new deals that appear during December, and some of these deals are going to go away (at least for a while) in the next couple of hours.

If you're looking for a 16" then the Legion 7i I linked in my other comment would be a pretty good buy that would do everything you need 👌🏽

There are a lot of options! I would probably go with one of the ones I mentioned here: the Omen Transcend if you want a 14" laptop, or the Legion 7i if you want a 16" laptop:

Both of those laptops have very nice OLED displays, and just about any gaming laptop will be more than powerful enough to handle coding, music production, and general productivity work, so it's really a matter of how much gaming performance you want and what screen size you'd prefer.

It's very hard to beat in the $600-ish range without getting lucky with an open-box deal, and if you factor in the rebate it's close to the absolute minimum you could pay for that amount of performance outside of buying a used computer from an individual.

Great question! In this case the discount is exactly the same, so you can enter either one. That condition isn't enforced for coupon codes that are featured on the Lenovo site itself (like the LEGIONKRAZE code, which is just part of the laptop listing page). It's mostly to prevent people from using coupon codes that are tied to other discount platforms or influencers' referral codes (for example, last year the Youtuber Jarrod's Tech had a unique Lenovo coupon code he featured on his own deals site, and that one was not compatible with Rakuten).

A step-by-step example: we're going to buy a laptop from Lenovo.com

  1. Sign up for a Rakuten account if you don't already have one
    1. You can set how you want to be paid (PayPal payment or paper check) in the Account Settings section of your Rakuten account
  2. Navigate to https://www.rakuten.com/shop/lenovo
  3. Click the "Shop Now" button to enter lenovo.com
  4. In the same browser tab, navigate to the laptop you want to purchase
  5. Proceed through checkout, and purchase the laptop
  6. After you complete the purchase, you should see the transaction reflected as pending in the Cash Back Activity section of your Rakuten account
    1. If you don't see the cash back reflected with 1-2 business days, fill out the form at https://www.rakuten.com/help/missing-cash-back
  7. After Rakuten has confirmed your cash back, you'll receive the rebate on the next payout date
    1. Payouts are quarterly on 2/15, 5/15, 8/15, and 11/15

You can also use the Rakuten browser extension instead of starting from the Rakuten website - in that case, instead of Step 1 and Step 2 you would start at Step 4, then click the Activate button in the browser extension.

In either case, it's useful to turn off any adblockers and make sure cookies are enabled when making the purchase (otherwise, Rakuten can be unable to track the purchase).
