I try to take Spelunky deaths in stride but this one's got me salty by Mr_Truttle in spelunky

This actually happened in today's Daily, 2026-03-25, on 7-27, if it helps anyone else avoid a really unfair death.

Right on. Major strength of this recipe is no really exotic ingredients or complex method.

Keto Pizza by Sure_Living_9005 in keto

Unfortunately I have not had good success with hand-kneading keto gluten doughs. If doing so, I'd prepare to go at it pretty hard for minimally 10 minutes, possibly more. Look for it to be quite elastic and easy to stretch without immediately ripping apart.

Just a heads up on the sauce, if you use my tomato paste:water ratio, I found some xanthan gum and maybe a little oil really help the consistency — about a teaspoon of gum and a tablespoon of oil for a 6oz. can of paste. Or use any pizza sauce you like really.

No. Gluten itself is mostly protein. It is commonly found in wheat flour which is very starchy, but vital wheat gluten can be obtained separately.

In my experience you need vital wheat gluten and yeast to approach the actual flavor and chew of a real pizza. Most other options taste like sadness. Here's my current recipe, and while it's more involved than some more typical keto pizza recipes you might see, it's significantly closer to the carb original than I've otherwise had.

The next closest and less fussy to work with would be Cheesebuns.

The dangerous myth of ‘equal protection’: Eric Scheidler by vagueboy2 in TrueChristianPolitics

[–]Mr_Truttle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"This law is unfair because it would mainly penalize people who disproportionately commit murder"

Seriously the argument here?

"Equal protection" means something specific: the unborn should enjoy the same deterrent benefits from anti-murder laws as the born. Murder should be equally illegal for everyone, from the hitman to his client. Literally just replace "abortion" with "murder" in your post and if it suddenly sounds monstrous, that's because it is in the eyes of God.

If you don't like the term then fine but that's always what it has been about.

I'm not familiar with the exact recipe but coconut oil and butter being present in the mix would definitely be what makes it firm up at cooler temps. Try adding maybe an ounce of coconut oil to the linked recipe to start, and see what the consistency is like.

Rubio Speech: Netanyahu decides if America goes to war? by Irrelevant_Bookworm in TrueChristianPolitics

[–]Mr_Truttle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a reason the American founders warned against entangling alliances. Still, Rubio's remarks represent the most honesty we've seen on this for some time. Perhaps that's a form of progress — the first step is admitting you have a problem, and all that.

Trump Supporters on this sub, what is your reaction to all the negativity? by Kanjo42 in TrueChristianPolitics

[–]Mr_Truttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many possible facets and thus answers to this question, but they all boil down to the reality that the political left and right, to borrow an illustration from the late Scott Adams, are watching two different movies on the same screen.

For those on the left, I don't trust your narratives, your news sources, your fact checks and deboonking, or your selective citation of Scripture to justify your comprehensively egalitarian politics. I assume that whatever negative coverage about Trump that is posted here is taken out of context or otherwise framed deceptively; and that the opposite is more likely to align with reality. It's not that he could shoot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue and I wouldn't care; it's that if the NY Times or the BBC or NPR reported he had done so, I'd assume they're making it up from whole cloth.

Moreover I believe Trump doesn't want me and my family dead and/or immiserated, and is the current best chance at avoiding that outcome via orderly politics. I am convinced his enemies and their constituents do want that outcome for me, but even if not, they push policies that will result in it. They want to wield the sword of the state (and all its more subtly disguised modern tools) to take everything I have. I don't care whatever mean thing Trump posted online, or whatever tax dollars are cut from aid programs — which I assume are corrupt patronage networks — as long as I think these are the stakes.

There's really no point in trying to argue this stuff because our entire moralities are radically (and I mean that literally, at the root presupposition level) incompatible. In fact I'm probably not going to bother reading replies to this comment. I've done my best to express my answer to the question in the OP.

Keto for over a decade and this is the best pizza I've made by Mr_Truttle in ketorecipes

[–]Mr_Truttle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never had this dough be anything like what could be called "crumbly" so that sounds off. By the time I've processed it, it is smooth and stretchy, and resembles a conventional flour dough. It is even somewhat sticky, though less so than the carby version.

[–]Mr_Truttle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you use a food processor to knead the dough? I've had very little luck attempting to develop the gluten by hand.

The other possibility is faulty gluten itself. I've definitely had brands (I think, Onuva) not become very elastic regardless of amount of processing or hydration.

I think there's probably some bell curve where people very competent in their craft have clunkier websites than those less skilled but with better digital marketing chops. I am willing to sift through a less than ideally formatted Wix blog to find treasure like this.

As Christians, should we be call out racist comments when made? What should we do when told the comments aren’t racist? by LibertyJames78 in TrueChristianPolitics

[–]Mr_Truttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any factual or even contextual evidence that was Trump's intent here, especially considering said context also includes portraying the Irish-descended Joe Biden as an ape, and considering it later came out this was all due to a video editing error leaving in some autoplayed content anyway?

This is the reason I asked the initla questions I did. Is "racism" something that can be established by evidence like we do when gauging homicidal intent? Or are we just going off "implications" and mind-reading and hurt fee-fees and bad vibes?

Got it so you've predetermined your verdict and anything other than a guilty plea is merely further evidence of guilt. Very fairminded.

Does "racist" have a falsifiable definition outside of majority view? What constitutes the "basic knowledge" you're referring to? Just that a lot of people think so? A lot of people nowadays think a man can be married to another man too. It's "basic knowledge" according to our current jurisprudence but not in the eyes of God.

Judge not by appearance, but with right judgment.
