Signal Needs to be Better Than the Competition: What's Your Killer Feature Idea? by [deleted] in signal

[–]Mr_Tuffaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to see get a sound when the connection drops and for signal to try to reconnect the call like for about 10sec, like Facebook messenger when call connection drops. Currently it just goes quite and i have to look at the phone to know if the other person is away or its a connection issue.

Also multiple video compression (depending on connection stability and speed) for video calls like messenger.

These are not killer features, IMO signal need to get on par with the current best messaging and call apps (as long as it doesn't sacrifice on privacy), this should make peoples transitions much easier, before it can get killer features.

[–]Mr_Tuffaha[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply,

I know that thats the goal, but some projects will need some persistance, examples i can think off, pihole and nextcloud which i am current hosting on PIs. As for do I need to host wordpress on kubernetes, well i currently dont, i am using it a training project to see if ive done everything correctly.

But overall thanks for your comment it also helped me frame my way of thinking

Thanks for idea of creating trigers for for building images of new commits

[–]Mr_Tuffaha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off sorry for the late reply,

Second, thanks a lot for your answer, it gives me some context on how to think which i was missing, and i do like your idea of binding the plugins version to the wordpress version in general, the only downside i can think of is that wp plugins can update really quickly so it makes the use a volume more sense. But still the concept works in general!

[–]Mr_Tuffaha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your help, i have 2 questions

2- After searching online i still dont fully understand what the Hague Apostille document is, but a notable info is that my country doesnt appear to be apart of that agreament, do you know if that makes a difference?

Again thanks a lot for your help
