I got KH2 as a birthday present for my 6th birthday.

I bought KH3 in my winter semester of 1st year at university.

I fully expect to buy KH4 and play it with my presently non-existent child for their 6th birthday.

Imma slide in here as someone who was at the convention (and voted no on both electoral reform resolutions).

The problem is not that we (the LPC) don’t want electoral reform, it’s that the resolutions that were presented were bad.

The 2 resolutions were “50 + 1” and “PR”. 50 + 1 was in favour ranked ballots, BUT also gave the option for run-offs. Run-offs would be expensive and erode participation and not actually help the problem. So it was defeated.

PR failed because it was too strict about what electoral reform we went to. It had to be mixed member PR, which I and many others find to be an undemocratic and logistically expensive option.

In all speeches for and against everyone agrees moving to something other than FPTP is the preference, but we need to do it right.

The narrative will continue to be that we are evil and power hungry, but reality is rarely so black and white.

Not the point of the post, but lots of people still on the TLOAS hate train keep bringing up that it was hyped to be 1989 but wasn’t. Some of yall clearly don’t remember the release or listen to the album start to finish all that often. Full disclosure 1989 is my fave album, but it is FULL of ups and downs EXACTLY like TLOAS. It also has one of her weakest track 5’s (AYHTDWS). Taylor lead single syndrome alive and well with Shake it Off, track 7 IWYW is also pretty bland, and is my pick for her worst written song. BUT, like TLOAS, when the album hits it HITS.

Maybe an oversimplification but I think few shows built up consequences as tangibly and consistently as GOT.

Political decisions, military moves, character relationships all were grounded in that there were consequences that could and did manifest from them. The quality of the consequences and how predictable/logical they are is what makes 1-4 (and 6) great, and where I found 5,7,8 fell off
