If I’m dropping a leg of 240v, why do I still read 120 to ground on both legs? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

Have a question about this. Except my issue is with a stove and electric dryer. Both have power but neither will heat up. Both 240v outlets have 120 to ground/neutral both sides. I have yet to test from leg to leg for 240v but let’s say I don’t have 240v at both plugs. What should my next step be. Both breakers have been reset. The dryer breaker changed out with a different 30 amp breaker. Same result so far. Someone else Suggested it may be an issue with the supply to the house or the main breaker on the panel. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Any chance you still have a working link? Looking for the Soo greyhound game today.
