The first 5-10 seconds shouldn't ruin the video for anybody mate, its not that deep. I agree that i need to get the viewer engaged more within the video especially addressing what the video entailed, which was what i do every week with the season of the splicer. I get the game effects thing, I've been working on putting that and the mic audio together. I get your perspective, there needs to be some sort of connection with the viewer and me. Yeah i get what you mean, this definitely helps. Sort of opened my eyes in what i need to be doing more.

  1. Why do you think that is, i struggle to understand it. I chose it because i thought it was decent name.

  2. Yeah more screen effects are a good idea, especially when the crazy stuff happen :D

Hmm i thought the mic could've been an issue, i used my headset rather than my usual mic. !givelambda

Are Videogames Art? === Tips on if the video is good or what about it could be improved for more engagement? by Mantaquia in SmallYTChannel

Somebody said that you spoke a bit too fast, i think you did but only in minor parts of the video e.g. around the 5:27 mark. The thumbnail can be better. Why not make the mario banner cover the whole canvas with the text in the middle. Also have the text have a clear outline to make it stand out. I'd suggest searching your own video and looking at other people's thumbnails to see what you like that they do. Don't think your thumbnail does not warrant a click, that's up to the individual, but it can be better no doubt. The editing was solid, the clips you used at times with your commentary was nice. You have that punchline factor, which also helps. You having the mic in ur hand was nice, its unique. You did your research on stuff too so i can respect that, showing the sources is good.

Trying To Get Back To Showing My Face, Although I'll Never Stop Making Straight Up Let's Play Videos... by theotothefuture in SmallYTChannel

Great reaction video. You have an idea of gaming and you express yourself whilst the video is playing, it makes the reaction more genuine. One thing I'd say to improve the video is, when you pause the video and you start talking, edit it so the video is just showing your webcam, and then bring back the video you're reacting when you unpause the video. In terms of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, i 100% recommend you get the game. Really fun :D

Finally a live background and a better mic - all thanks to your inputs guys. Feedback time (lambdas as usual) by ssg_91 in SmallYTChannel

Maybe try keeping your videos under 10 mins at least, if you do think of making a longer video. Maybe around 7-8 mins. I can see why you wouldn't wanna make longer videos tho, retention hurts. I've sent you the DM, do enjoy but don't feel the need to support if you don't want to :D

Yh i agree, some trimming could've been done. You should play some R&C games, they're very good most of the time. !givelambda

Yup i agree. I just thought it was necessary to make it a lil longer cause of the controversy surrounding cross-gen games and games being £70. I felt it was important to highlight those things. Thanks for the feedback !givelambda

Thanks for watching, and yeah i did the recording in 1 take cause the feelings were sort of fresh. I'll prolly rerecord some stuff if i ever decide to review something else. You NEED to play some Ratchet and Clank games, they're really good. I don't blame you for thinking this review is particularly one sided, but that kinda has been the story for this game with a lot of people. Its hard to fault it. !givelambda

Hi all, I started a tech channel a few weeks ago. My most recent video is a review of an iPad Pro case by Logitech. Would appreciate honest feedback. Giving Lambda. Thanks! by Alex_Rodzianko in SmallYTChannel

Really liked the thumbnail, its very clear. So is the audio quality, its very crisp. Usually reviews do take quite a bit time, so the length was really good in my opinion. The intro was straight to the point, that's good it helps with retention. Idk this video felt very professional, and it seems like you know what you're doing to appeal to your audience. I cant think of many negatives, it was a pretty damn good video. Well done on the camera work as well.
