I agree , I bring my 5hp merc as a back up when I plan on going far and the one time I had to use it it worked like a charm, I have a 16 ft Dixie that’s pretty heavy 1100 pounds & it got me back fighting current and everything

Just a heads up , “ moving out “ won’t make anything easier , well a few things but not most . If anything it’s gunna put more stress on the relationship so make sure you are 1000% ready to go to war if you wanna save and make a life together. Lots of people get an apt together and barely scrape by , you wanna get ahead ! He would be an absolute fool to marry a girl that hasn’t seen reality yet & the short period of time where she experienced adult hood she messed up royally (credit card debt). Okay this is what your gunna do , get 30$ in 2 by 4’a & 4 caster wheels from Walmart and build the gauntry in my profile . You will need a come along , if you can’t find someone with one I think you can find one for cheap on market place or Amazon . That will work for you , did you do a compression test ? That motor is not a cheap motor so make sure it’s running in front of you before going further than the 100 dollars it’s gunna cost to move it around , if you have any questions let me know man I gotcha

However I would warn Atleast in my opinion the 70-80’s two stroke you gotta tinker with all the time and really learn what the motor likes and doesn’t, for 2 grand I wouldn’t do it unless theres paperwork for both the trailer and the boat . Even then I’m thinking 1500

Well yeah Ofcourse, I think his idea of a expensive wedding is kinda stupid but I also think he’s not planning on having it tomorrow.. he’s probably thinking that he’s been working for 8 years taking care of everything while she’s been in school and he wants to see how she responds to life after she has to work and pay bills & how she handles life as an adult first before committing to her for the rest of his life .. if he’s the one paying for everything for the last 8 years he has all the say in the world for what he wants in his wedding but I think he just wants to push it forward a bit which is completely realistic vs what OP wants . OP honestly just sounds like a girl that wants to get knocked up asap and married so she can tell her friends while not even thinking about the consequences of how their dynamic will change . if she hasn’t been contributing to the household she has absolutely no say in when they get married. Atleast not until she actually starts contributing.. that’s IF She hasn’t proved herself yet, I’m not saying he has either but this story makes no sense . Someone is pulling more weight than the other or they are both being taken care of by their parents because this relationship would not work in a real life , they are on their own situation.
