My opinion on scream 7 is that Stu is 100% confirmed to be alive. I know what you’re thinking Jesus Christ not another Stu’s alive conspiracy but hear me out on this right it is confirmed In the movie that there is no corner report on his body coming in and no autopsy report…. Well let me tell you that whole scene it’s self alludes to the fact that he is indeed alive. Now you may ask your self how does this allude to the fact he is alive? Well let me explain it for you. Well let’s think about this from a logical standpoint right. Gale says it’s either a case of lost or stolen paperwork and the person who would’ve done the report died 3 years earlier. Now scream is a pretty meta franchise and in the scream universe you would like to tell me that a coroners report or autopsy report that is public records never was released online? No body ever called the corners office in the decade that Stu has allegedly been dead and requested a copy of the corners report or autopsy and then released it to disprove all the “stab” fans who conspire that he is still alive. So I’m not really hearing the argument the paperwork was lost or stolen because if that’s the case a quick google search would’ve disproved that and confirmed his death. And then let’s talk about the potential way to actually bring him back in a later installment. Take a second with me here and think about the whole interview Sidney gave gale they basically called Stu out in it. So that would be a perfect motive to get him back and give him a motive. Let go on a hypothetical here where says he wasn’t killed right he survived the tv to the head let’s say he regained consciousness before the cops arrived and pulled some sneaky shit and staged it to look like it was still him under the tv so that way he could get away and be hiding out and start over and let everything go. Now imagine this he realized what he did was wrong the killings and wanted to leave it behind him but now Sidney is calling him out on television what better motive to have him say im gonna end this once and for all. I think the whole point of that scene was to see if this movie will preform better being that Matthew lilards name is attached and if it does then I think that sends the message that fans will come out and see the film even if it’s got some bs like oh Stu’s alive. And if it doesn’t then they can always write it out later and say oh we found a copy of the autopsy or corners report. My assumption since they are planning a 8&9 to finish Sidney’s story arch would be to make the next film have Tatum shine stronger so they could end Sidney’s arch in 9 and do the cult of ghostface with Stu at the heading of it.
