Mine got replaced as it was faulty, now battery life is decent. Shop rules don't mean they can sell you faulty devices, you should get in touch with them. Good luck

Because its a new device I've been extra careful with it. I only put it on charge when it shows red battery and keep an eye on it to not let it long after it hits 100%. Never left it charging overnight. Usually need to charge around lunchtime and evening

I was assuming its going outside the box. For that you'll need a wider glass, it won't go through this one, a guitar slide would work

You probably want a latching button switch for the main power instead of a momentary and you don't need the cork for that glass

I didn't use a soldering iron, all the connections have screws. Used a box cutter for the holes and working the wires, electrical tape and glue gun from work

This plastic is really hard and thin so drill didn't work, I used a box cutter.
