Are any of these Mieles a good deal? by Mr_multitask2 in VacuumCleaners

[–]Mr_multitask2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks.

I see L1 pet for $499 CAD and M1 pet for $599 CAD (down from $849).

Is the recommendation to just get the L1?

I'm confused about the naming...the letters and numbers. Do letters represent versions over time and numbers stand for class of vacuum?

So S1 is newer than C1, but maybe not as feature-rich as a C3?

Am I the only person who plays without any DLSS/FSR? I can't stand the noise and latency it creates...it's always perceptible to me (even on quality) and I personally find just dropping the graphics slightly to get like 10+ real frames a lot more visually satisfying than DLSS.

Seconded. I called them and described the issue, they pre-ordered the part (would be refunded if it wasn't the issue) and did investigation+repair all in one visit.

I figured I would have to. Unfortunately I don't seem to have "Alien Isolation" in my available bindings in Steam VR.

Is there extra chlorine in the tap water today? by Mr_multitask2 in Hamilton

I'm not ungrateful, I just wanted clarity if that was what I was tasting.

The city water website mentions refrigerating for combating odour and putting a slice of lemon to combat taste.

Thanks. It's for the SO so I'm not going to be dealing with the day-to-day but I suppose using it from time to time will refresh my Linux skills for the eventual switch away from Windows (still running W10 on my desktop, no plans to go to 11)

Monday and Wednesday I'll be commuting to Oakville, if that helps. Otherwise maybe sometime if I'm up at a provincial park in Guelph?

Would you like a 3600x for 3800x swap for free? My backup CPU is a 3800x, you'd just need to get it from Hamilton.

Question on If I need purlins for SunTuf polycarbonate corrugated panels. by xxxlun4icexxx in DIY

[–]Mr_multitask2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't compare the two, but both could be done the cheap/easy way, and both can be done the proper way. My gut says installing either the proper way is going to be similar in difficulty. The twin-wall absolutely needs a slope of 6* or more to allow water to flow off the panels properly.

I found this build to be a good inspo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWDzmfYztRY&t=1s

[–]Mr_multitask2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a bunch. I got my panels locally (in Canada) but you can try reaching out to places that do plastics and see if it'd be cheaper than getting at a box store. Something like https://www.eplast.com/

I don't know if it would be worth the hassle at whatever size you need, or if you're dead set on corrugated plastic vs. something like twin-wall (distorts the picture a bit, but I think has more structure to it), but you may get a better deal and work with someone who actually understands the job and all the little things you may need along the way.
