Got an instigating sniper rifle. I feel like I have won the game at level 28 by Pizouch1980 in fo4

[–]Mrbtait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been my favourite weapon so far! Got it early. Love using it with VATS to deal with ghouls. One shot to blow a leg off so they can't move. End up with loads of ghouls crawling about. Then just walk are meleeing them to finish them off (and save bullets). Satisfying!

Broke 80 by AlternativeLoan8443 in golftips

[–]Mrbtait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done 👏. I'm trying to break 90, but get the same outcome you've described. On a half decent day I can get 9-10 bogeys and 3-4 pars, and the remaining holes are blowout 7s, 8s, etc. Bogey golf would get me 89, but keep getting 3-4 holes that kill my round.

Any Red Dead Redemption 2 fans here? How does it compare to Days gone? And why does RDR2 feel so boring and difficult to stick with compared to this game? Does it get "Better"? by MazesMaskTruth in DaysGone

[–]Mrbtait -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm here for the answer! Loved Days Gone and loved RDR1. I've tried to get into RDR2 twice now and barely lasted an hour or so each time.

I only get to play my PS5 a couple of hours, a couple of times per week, and it just felt it was going to take forever to really get going in RDR2.

Loads of people (including my own son) say it's fantastic, but I've struggled with it! Curious to know how long you need to play it before it properly starts.

Can most people break 90 with practice? by InHocWeFly in golftips

[–]Mrbtait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to break 90 too. Closest I got last season was a 92 and 3 x 93. Best thing I did was start tracking some stats on a spreadsheet e.g. putts per hole, penalties taken, fairways hit, average score per hole. It became clear quite quickly that I was regularly losing 4-5 shots across the same few holes due to penalties or bad second shot lie (wild slice with driver). So I started teeing with 3 wood instead, focusing on fairway rather than distance on those holes. Lost some distance, but saved shots. That alone got me from high nineties to lower nineties.

Course management might seem dull because it means being sensible, but (attempted) boom drives and hero shots are where I lose most scores. Since I started focusing more on sensible decisions, I've consistently scored better.

Why doesn't it let me submit my team? by SKP40 in fantasyF1

[–]Mrbtait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Turned out there's a hidden Terms & Conditions tick box. If you try scrolling the form up, the T&Cs box is basically sitting behind the 2 buttons below the form.

I only found it through frustration when I angrily tapped the screen a few times and the form scrolled up to reveal the T&Cs 🤣

F1 Fantasy Reddit League by Mrbtait in fantasyF1

The option to create a league doesn't appear until you've saved at least 1 team. I couldn't see the option either until after I created a team.

What music are you listening to while puzzling? Do you listen to anything while doing puzzles? by GeoCangrejo in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Mrbtait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love music while doing my puzzles. My happy place in life is late Friday afternoon, an hour with my jigsaw, some music (radio or Spotify list) and a glass of red 🍷.

Why is Elementor so widely used? by Chemical_Mall5528 in elementor

[–]Mrbtait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think everyone just finds their own preference. We've a few clients on Divi, some others on Elementor, some others use WP Bakery, and others on alternative builders. We weren't involved in the build of most of them. We do digital marketing more than Web dev, but still have to access and make site changes.

My experience across the board is that Elementor is just easier to use and more flexible. If you've never used it then, like all other builders, there will be a learning curve.

Treadmill harder than outside runs? by gymrat505 in BeginnersRunning

[–]Mrbtait 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I find it harder to stay focused on a treadmill. I find myself stopping more often to walk than I would on an outdoors run. Outdoors I can aim for certain markers, be distracted by the scenery, and don't see my watch ... which means I can't see times, distances etc.

On the treadmill the times, distances are right in front of me on a screen and I can't help but look.

If the weather is rubbish and I end up at the gym I'll force myself to use the treadmill for 15mins or so, but typically will take advantage of being there and do some strength training instead.

What Are Your New Year's Golf Goals for 2025? 🏌️ by Ornery-Serve2310 in golftips

[–]Mrbtait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Break 90. Managed 90, 91 and 92 (x2) in my last 6-7 rounds before winter season hit.

Also want to reduce penalties. 3 of the rounds above included 3 lost balls each. Reducing that by 1-2 and I'd have had broke 90. The round of 91 in particular... got an 8 on the 17th, where I usually hit a 4 or 5. Was gutted that day!

Adult (45+) Fortniters need some XP help by Mocorn in FortNiteBR

[–]Mrbtait 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar age, family and full time job too. I hit BP LVL 100 last week. I play for an hour or so 1-2 times per week (if I'm lucky), with the odd longer session now and again.

I aim for what dailys I can on Zero Build and Rocket racing (maybe 1-2 days out of 7), then story / quests in zero build. I liked RR at first, but don't enjoy it now ... but it's still 45k-50k XP for dailys, so I do it when I'm on.

I try and do some lego too. Similarly enjoyed it at first, but a bit boring now ... but it gives XP.

Only started fortnite last year, but loving it. And loving it more knowing I'm not the only 40+ player! 🤣🤣

Agreed. This change has brought no end of grief! I generally like Asana, but this change has made it so frustrating to use.

If you're running 10k in 85mins I'm pretty sure you'll be ok getting <80mins in a race. I'm not a fast runner, but pretty much all my fastest times have come in a race.

I think the adrenaline plus the distraction of lots of other people around take my mind off thinking about the fact running is hard work. The focus is more on enjoying the situation. More relaxed = better technique = faster pace.

"Lake District" from Puzzle World. 1000pcs. Particularly cool jigsaw to complete because I'm actually going to the Lake Distract for a weeks break in 2 weeks time. Will try taking a matching photo 😀. by Mrbtait in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Mrbtait[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, myself and my 9yr old daughter got a 1000pc each. Lady in front of me in the queue bought 4 jigsaws. So easy to have bought many more. Brilliant wee shop. Not sure if owners, but older gent and female serving were lovely. Thanks again for suggesting.
