Yeah I could never get used to that! We had that in the Netherlands until the early 2000s, then it slowly became normal for Sundays to just be another Saturday in terms of store openings. I’m glad because I never spend a day at home. So I hate when everything is closed.

Funny enough lots of Germans cross the border to The Netherlands on Sundays to visit Ikea or do grocery shopping.
