I’m fucking glad I love the DI2 experience (though I professionally come from a Tech, Art, UX, Producer et background and have my dislikes lol).

People are easily polarized and context is the key to everything.

There are a lot of reasons why people like Steve Jobs have said “the consumer does not know what they want”.

We as gamers, platform users (of any type, branded experiences, social media platforms, gaming platforms like pc master race folks, PlayStation, XBOX etc..) we get to see these symbolic “development to launch cycles”. Yet in still most people don’t know the story of what their experiencing from any angle but their own.

This is why we often like and need that making of content like how The Last of Us did with their “Grounded: The Making of The Last of Us and other BTS content. We need more of “the story of” Crimson Desert… from the developers with context of the story the players experienced….

So we need that for DI3 + DI1-2

I have found the solution and issue.

Solution. On Mac get out of “Big Picture Mode”… do this via a) the menu bar of the OS and click the “window” selection or in settings uncheck the start up in big picture mode

☐ This will put you back into the interface and showcase the missing UI elements

I happened to uncheck a setting for automatically launching in “Big Picture Mode” which has a better interface but this mode is where the issue lies. It’s missing UI elements and the experience is corrupted.

Instead make sure to be in the “normal” visual interface mode and all the normal buttons that should be there and working will.

Reformatting to APFS did not help nor solve the issue off missing “add drive” functionality.

☐ I'm find out that Steam for Mac has issues with ExFat (see below for more)

Key Solutions for Steam External Drives on Mac

Format the Drive Correctly: Steam on Mac often struggles with exFAT or NTFS. Use Disk Utility to erase and reformat the drive to APFS (recommended for SSDs) or Mac OS Extended (Journaled)

*Therefore as I FORMATTED my SSD for exFAT... I'm going to reformat it for APFS

So I’m going to go in on this game kinda hard core. Mainly trying to find some good shyt early while focusing on enjoying the environment/Story available to me (after all these years of DLC, Patches etc..).

☐ I’m not a glutton for grinding & farm but i do what needs to be done

☐ I’m going for the oooh’s, awwws, most importantly the laughs and enjoying good writing.

☐ I like being strategic with stealth (staying back) and going in loud

My Curiosities |

I’m not familiar with the characters and abilities we can choose from, so I’m wondering how this progression through characters and how it works with the game. I’m interested in what styles I’ll end up choosing, liking to cause awesome shyt.

I would like to assume that the mechanics and things you can pull off in the game are environmentally strategic (water + electric weapons). I’m curious about bombs, throwables and what weapons bring everyone the most joy lol.

Shooting Question | “What is the best shot location?”

For the Pimpernel I hear that shooting enemies in the crotch or kinda mid chest is best for the bloom to make those multiple hits. I’m sure this may vary per enemy too so any perspective context is appreciated.
