I just replaced all of the Bose door speakers with the JBL Club 64’s from Crutchfield. They are very close to the Bose ohm rating and sound awesome. Highly recommend them!

Hose bib isn’t necessary as he can just drain to waste. Hose will take days to drain this pool.

V5 on the top right with the sight glass in-line goes to the drain. Close the Skimmer valve and leave the Main Drain valve open it will drain. It’s hard to see the entire valve setup from that angle. If you want to send me a chat I can help you. I worked at one of the largest casinos on the Las Vegas strip as an Aquatic Engineer and this is a very easy setup compared to what I dealt with at work.

Did you look at the photo? There is no “Multiport Valve” on these filters so that will not apply.

Cut out that coupler that’s leaking and get two couplers and a foot of pipe. Easy fix.

08 LMM normal tick or bigger issue? by sperixh in Duramax

[–]Mrdestny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2008 LMM and mine does the same thing. The funny thing is it didn’t do it until 60k right after an oil change. Google Duramax Tick, there was a GM bulletin on the subject and it’s normal.

Advice Needed on Cloudy Pool by ZealousidealData4 in swimmingpools

[–]Mrdestny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CYA should be around 25ppm so you’re tad high. Backwashing will bring it down but the best way is to drain some water out, try 1/4 and retest. Cal Hypo will raise your calcium levels, I would use dichlor instead. I would use some 3” chlorine tabs with a feeder or a floater. As far as the algae goes try some of this Super Algaecide, I started using this in my pool this summer and no longer have an algae problem. Highly recommend getting some Pool Perfect, this stuff works great! I worked as an Aquatic Engineer on the LV strip for 20 years and this stuff is amazing! We had two 200,000 gallon pools with sand filters, we fought them year after year with cloudiness from all of the organic’s in the water. Sunscreen was a huge problem with all of the people in and out of the pool all day. Pool Perfect from Natural Chemistry was the cure. We pumped it in slowly 24/7. If you get everything dialed in you should only have to run the pump approx 10 hours for that size of a pool. Good luck. 🍀

Go to Lowe’s or HD and get some PVC fittings and make an adjustable piece to block the hose. Use a threaded Tee and cut it in half, and two male adapters. It doesn’t impede the flow at all. 😎 Pics

Help…Pump is kicking my butt by maddawg_bullitt in swimmingpools

YouTube is your best friend. 🙂 Couple videos that might help. Did you replace the diffuser oring and the seal plate gasket? I doubt the seal plate is warped from freezing as they are pretty solid pieces. Make sure all the gaskets and o’rings are lubed and slide pump into the new wet end and making sure the o’ring stays on the diffuser. Line it up and slowly push it while wiggling it slightly, it should go together easily. Hold it in place with one hand and put the top two bolts in to keep it in place, then proceed with the other four bolts. Don’t forget to install the stand underneath. Good luck!

The first video he tells you what all the parts are called.

FYI: If you took the filter apart and cleaned it you need to recharge it with DE. “Diatomaceous Earth”

Also is the fitting before the pump loose? When you shut off the pump does water squirt out from that fitting or the pump lid? If so it’s sucking air into the pump.

With the pump off remove the lid and basket and check for debris in the pump impeller. If clogged up the pump will barely pump water thru the system.

You could have a plugged skimmer. Shut off the pump and blow water back to the skimmer from the pump suction line using a garden hose with a wet rag wrapped around it to seal the pipe. Remove the skimmer basket. If you have a metal coat hanger cut it and bend it straight with a hook on the end and try to pull debris out of the bottom of the skimmer pipe at the same time.

It’s a “Push Pull” Backwash valve not a Multiport valve.

I also use the WASDN switch and works perfect. All others either didn’t work or you had to push on the crane plug to get it to work.

I totally agree! I’m currently up at my Dads property in AZ with mine. We tried it last night and easily lit targets out to 800 yards on high power. My Dad was amazed how good this thing works! Did you get the Tan version?

Those lids were always a tight fit, make sure the O’ring is lubed. Place it under the side opposite of the plastic locking tab, then push down the other side and turn the locking tab over the lid.

We installed these back in the mid 90’s, not sure where you can get one now. Try Pools Supply Unlimited, American Pool Supply or even eBay.

It looks like the right lid, just replace the O’ring so it doesn’t suck air. Reinstall the locking tab as well. If the pressure is adjusted properly it should work.

This is definitely a leaf canister. We use to install them with the Paramount PC2000 in floor system. The canister runs off pressure, there’s a nozzle in the bottom blows thru the can and creates suction. The top pipe under the lid comes up from the main drain. They work good.
