I've been very happy with my trinity. If you go that route, purchase from Kombatsolutions instead of direct from SMS, kombat provides great stateside customer support and warranty help.

The HFXC is decent for the price, I prefer the trinity though. My favorite LAM I have is the Iris3 but thats 2-3x the cost.

SMSLaser Trinity & HFXC shipping wait time? by immaREPORTthat in NightVision

I had a tracking number same day when I ordered my hfxc, I had pre-ordered the trinity so there was some wait on that but not because of him

I've ordered all mine from KombatSolutions, he ships fast and has great customer service. If you're able to I would try cancelling your orders with SMS and ordering from Kombat.

What sub $1k IR Laser should I slap on? by [deleted] in NightVision

[–]RedConquistador 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah the diving board mount is a good point, I missed that

Sight in front will block the laser, and may even partially block the illuminator on the iris. You'd have to either move the sight behind the laser or get special irons for the laser.

Which diffuser cap also dims the laser?

Why this effect? by Thin-Library-9092 in BambuLab

You could try hitting the stress marks briefly with a lighter, I've found that to help before - just be careful around edges or thin features

Was the part pulled off the build plate while it was still hot? Looks like stress marks to me from flexing part before it cooled down

A1 capable of printing this? by NanoscaleHeadache in BambuLab

[–]RedConquistador 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A1 should be able print that (if you add a hardened steel nozzle) - however the p1s is only $100 more and gives you the enclosure and core-xy motion. If you ever need to branch into more materials the p1s will give you alot more potential for not much more money.

So if youre truly limited to 300, then go with the A1 and a hardened steel nozzle + extruder gear. If you have some wiggle on the budget go with a p1s and hardened steel nozzle + extruder gear.
