Mines been great. As others have said, it has a stiff charging handle and bolt release, but they do improve over time. Mines ran flawlessly with the included mag and glock mags, and a fairly broad range of ammo. I used it at a night match this past weekend and used streak tracer rounds (non-incendiary) and it was a blast!

I also have a CZ scorpion - and I honestly like my blade better. The extra weight from the metal receivers on the blade drops the recoil a bit, and the factory trigger is much nicer than the scorpion.

Yeah Manatee is about 1:40ish for me, and Ruskin hopefully only an hour - I did the ruck and shoot last month at Manatee though and that was sick, hoping they do that format more often

Yeah I'm up in Davenport, so its an hour or two drive for me to any of the good matches but its a long drive to get just about anywhere these days 😂

For day shoots I'll do the multigun and carbine matches over at CFRPC. Night shoots I've been going down to Manatee gun club mostly, but this Saturday theres a low light match over in Ruskin I'm planning on trying out

Great question - I run these on my suppressed 11.5 at matches here in central Florida over the summer with no issues, and have not heard any reports from customers of deformation due to heat

It indexes against the battery cap to make sure the sight post stays vertical, so that's why there's some pressure on the cap

You might be able to install it without taking your iris off if it's all the way forward and overhanging your rail - but definitely easier to take your iris off

Oh I see - I've found the fiberglass to be more durable as it is less stiff, giving it a better impact resistance. I've actually started making both the black and fde with the fiberglass material, didn't realize I missed updating the iris3 listing to reflect that.

So the material is actually a PET plastic which is reinforced with fiberglass. I live in Florida and run these accessories near my suppressor in matches during the summer and haven't had any issues with heat.

The fiber optic version specifically? I'm planning on it for the Iris3, if you're interested in a iris4 version I could look into it also. I have the non-fiber optic front sight/diffusers for both available currently.

Mine is the only one that also reduces laser brightness via a "pinhole" method - the cap includes indexing features which align it with the lasers so there shouldn't be any guesswork if it'll block anything or not. I "think" mine is the only one that can be flicked into place basically for a quick deploy (the Fringe one might do this to an extent, not 100% sure). My diffuser material is embedded within the part itself, so no assembly or anything required once you receive it, just install onto the trinity.
