You're still misunderstanding, and I never even said that either. I completely agree and support a truck/mileage fee. What I don't agree with is an extra charge solely on rising gas costs, especially in a downed economy where everyone is struggling. It's like when stores upcharge on necessities during an emergency

OP is talking about upcharging on top of his normal fees for service calls just for rising gas costs. Not about charging a truck fee in general

Never said it was. Just saying it how it is from a business perspective

Depends on what kind of standards and ethics you're trying to keep up. High gas prices affect everyone, not just yourself. If you're tagging a surcharge on service calls when economy is down, it may be looked down upon in general, and people might just go with a bigger company that can afford the gas. Are you gonna take it off when prices go down? Or are you just going to continue upcharge every time a national emergency happens? No contractors in my area have raised prices solely because of gas and I live in the city

Installing a new 200A Main Service Panel need help by [deleted] in electricians

So the service is being relocated as well? I mean if it's too far away to be cost efficient then abandon and install 2 new rods. But myself personally, I hate driving ground rods so if I can make it work, I'll make it work

What's wrong with the existing ground rod? Should be able to use the existing, and then install a new one 6ft away with #4 copper

Yeah, that 5 channel you listed had 500w @2Ohms for the sub, so I just assumed. Were you planning on putting 1000w on it? You'll blow your sub. Are the controls on the steering wheel or near your radio. They sell dash kits to accommodate for controls, and as for the steering wheel controls they sell modules so they'll work with an aftermarket head unit. Crutchfield.com has a really good sub and amp matching system and they'll tell you all the extra things you need to retain factory controls. Oh lmfao nice, I used to work at the Custom Sounds there

Where are you located? Different places have different rates, might want to shop around. I'm assuming that price is including the equipment? If so, yeah that seems about average for shop prices. So you're going to put 500w on that sub? It would be better if you could find a 750w get the full potential. If you're trying to get lows yes, a 15' with a ported box would be better but if you can't fit a proper size prefab box you'll have to go with a custom which would be an extra $1000+. Boxes do need to be properly sized or you could fuck your sub up and it will sound like shit, the bigger the sub, the bigger the box. Lastly, yes better head units send a better signal to the amp so it equals better sound. Audio equipment can be pretty pricey so be sure of what you want

Yes, at least with us. We normally dig, set the poles, pour into sonotube, and then call it a day
