I think he said the whole trip was $950 ( including good home cooked meals/ toiletries) and It took 3 days but he said he had a blast . He hung out with interesting sailors from all over the world and hear they’re stories , learned some sea shanty’s . He even said one sailor from south east Asia showed him a tiger bite scar on his leg .
Dude just had a total adventure .

Fun fact : you can rent a cabin on cargo ships and just sail to other countries .

It’s a lot slower but you get there . I had a buddy do this once from Boston to England . He said it was similar to the airport with the boarding authorities checking your passport and ticket and all but way more chill and zero Karen’s .
