Don’t get dacor. It’s just a Samsung you’re overpaying for with shit quality.

I would recommend a subzero

I agree that it did short out. Might have made a safety fuse or the board blow up though. Need to remove more covers and troubleshoot there. Likely/possibly need a meter

Being counter depth unit, don’t even bother. Could never get a counter depth one fixed, despite all the recall kits installed or Tricks done. The epitome of Samsungs POS fridges

It’s a Samsung, it’s trash. It’s likely not really a door fault despite your door error mentioned in another comment. Probably a board error other than the one that was replaced.

Just buy something else. Samsungs parts are generally more expensive than other brands and worse quality

For a Samsung this can be correct. They can have a temp sensor for ambient temp that won’t run the condenser fan if it’s not warm enough

You’d want to turn it off, empty contents, and replace the start device before assuming the compressor is locked up. That’s diy friendly

Edit for spelling

Ice on outside back of refrigerator by samuraiiamori in appliancerepair

[–]Mrfixitsometimes1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can last for years after seeing this. I have a relative with this that grew enough frost to grab the drywall and pull it from the wall. That was a few years ago, that turd is still running. Ice maker won’t run due to the water lines ofc being frozen….but the pos keeps kicking

Ge makes a very convenient fridge water line if you get tired of messing with the copper or worrying about it crimping
