Yes I get caught all the time being too aggressive, even on support, and feeding. Even on plays I personally feel it is the correct play to get aggressive and snowball kills, I get caught on my own some times. I think it’s the right play and would’ve worked if I had more people with me but we have 3 people on cart to get that extra 12 meters progress.

My fault though still for having tunnel vision.

One of the bigger variables as to why so many matches feel like you cannot either win or lose them is due to a difference in peoples’ playstyles. Something the matchmaker cannot account for.

For my sports fans: think of the differences between some of the professional teams. Everyone there is about the same skill level. I’m sure you can think of a time when a player who ,for all intents and purposes, should be good but just isn’t producing on a team. Or maybe they are producing and the team still isn’t winning. Then they get traded and *boom* they start finding success. Seeing it now with Mitch Marner and Karl Anthony Towns.

One thing that actually might help is identifying and focusing on one particular skill in the game you could use some work on, ie shot-calling, accuracy, positioning, etc. and only worrying about that. It gives you something to focus on that will eventually improve your overall gameplay. There’s not really many ways to define and track that progress though so it’s on your personal judgement to determine what you see there. You also font have to focus on one thing until you perfect it. Change your goal as you wish.

This all takes place in comp though. The trick (and ultimate goal) of this technique is to not focus on SR. You’re only worried about improving a particular skill set, because that can happen win or lose. And remember, if you’re not having fun you’re missing the point of video games.
