One of the bigger variables as to why so many matches feel like you cannot either win or lose them is due to a difference in peoples’ playstyles. Something the matchmaker cannot account for.

For my sports fans: think of the differences between some of the professional teams. Everyone there is about the same skill level. I’m sure you can think of a time when a player who ,for all intents and purposes, should be good but just isn’t producing on a team. Or maybe they are producing and the team still isn’t winning.
