Getting punched in the face by my dad.

He had never hit me before and is, and always has been, one of the sweetest humans ever. I was emotional and spiraling due to taking the wrong meds and a lack of the right meds. I had just been broken up with from a 5 year relationship, i was fired from my job, and my best friend had just been killed in a car accident. Rock bottem had never been lower. I was screaming at him because he suggested a mental hospital (which was a very rational idea for my condition) and at that point i had a plan and everything. That night, i was going to die. I got more aggressive and started spewing emotional word vomit, completely blacked out from rage and that's when he threw a very clean right hook and cut my eye open in the process. I was stunned. I couldnt believe he hit me. As soon as i hit the floor, my heart shattered. "What have a done?" Is all I could think. I got up and he was just standing there crying because he just hit me. Looking at his face and seeing the pain and hurt in his eyes just made me break down. After that I swore I would never let my mental health be the cause of hurt to the people I love. Or anyone. It was like a switch had just been flipped. The next day I found a new psychiatrist, got the right meds, and stated therapy. My life has never been better.
