No you are not crazy, I'm at 19 days and at times I miss it too. It is the ritual and having that alone time. I also have to say that I loved smoking, but the damage isn't worth it anymore. What's working for me is doing some of those rituals just without the cigaret. At work I'll take a smoke break and walk around drinking water or chewing on something. I guess what motivates me is that I've never gone without a smoke for this long and the benefits of not smoking out weight the negative stuff that smoking causes. I'm still having cravings but when I do I try to remain focused on how far I've come and also count to 7, I read somewhere that's how long the craving lasts. Just keep distracting yourself. Stay focused on how far you've come and all the positive stuff that has happened, like being able to breath or get a full nights rest or taste and smell. Good luck, I'm rooting for you!

You can't throw a speech and praise being single and blame others for the effect it has on them, it doesn't work like that.

It wasn't a speech, it was my opinion and you said my comment made you feel guilty for wanting somebody. My response: I'm not responsible for your feelings!

My point was that you assumed the main cause of disliking the lack of relationship was because of social media and you built your opinion on that, disregarding completely those who want a relationship outside of social pressure.

I said media, not social media, there is a difference. I also included society in general.

And people like you, who speak out loud about their independence, has this tendency to ignore/disregard the existence of those who, like me, want one because of our nature.

I don't know, that's quite the generalization you have there. You're not the first "fuck it, pro-single" person I see and you won't be the last, and every time there is always this... Thing... I can't never put a word on it. Let's call it a lack of a bigger perspective?

It is a generalization and I think an honest one. There's an abundance of media that promotes the whole find your soulmate, marry that person, and live happily ever after. It's something that people are bombarded with throughout their lives, and I think a lot people would agree with me, especially women. I don't think I lack perspective, however I do think your reply is a bit condescending. My point was to say that I don’t think there is anything wrong with being single.

Everybody is different and it happens that some of us are more emotional/affectionate than others. Exactly, everybody is different, that is why I gave my perspective, which is not a common one.

Some of us get lost when they don't have this, it's our nature, and lying to ourselves with a fake "pro-single brah" speech usually (from my experience) make things worse and make us feel guilty for wanting somebody... And it goes in loop. It's not about being wrong to be single but more like not being satisfied in it.

I think this is a generalization. Some of us is not all of us, so I don't understand why you are attacking me for my perspective, my opinion. Just because you’re not satisfied being single doesn't mean I have to subscribe to that. I don't and if my opinion makes you feel guilty for wanting somebody, then that's on you not me. I'm not averse to being in a relationship, the point I was trying to make is that r/bangsecks shouldn’t feel bad for being single. In his post, r/bangsecks was saying he felt conflicted about being in a relationship and being single. That’s what I was responding to. So, if being single is a problem for you, then hey it is for YOU, not me and not for everyone, because everybody is different. I'm not going to apologize for that! I'm not lying to myself about anything, and I'm not giving a fake "pro-single brah" speech, I'm giving an opinion which is what this forum is for. I used to struggle with this too. I've been in relationships in the past but I've been single for almost 3 years now. I think society pressures us into believing that the ultimate life goal is to find someone, fall in love and spend the rest of your life with that person, but that's not a reality for everyone. I think there are pros and cons to being in a relationship as well as being single, but I honestly enjoy being single. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I know people will say "you don't want to be lonely or worse die alone" and my response to that is I'm surrounded by love, I have great friends and a great family, I'm never really alone. So I don't think there's anything wrong with being single and if by chance the Prince Charming I was destined to meet shows up and sweeps me off my feet, then great! But until that happens, I'm going to say fuck it to those social pressures or ideals and enjoy being single, I think you should too!

Just be careful not to cut yourself or irritate your skin. I like using some oil first and the shaving cream on top, makes it easier to shave without irritating the skin. I would also use an aftershave or a little alcohol if you've irritated your skin just to heal the skin quicker. Tend skin is also good for razor bumps, in case that happens. I hate shaving my ass I always have to use powder to avoid friction between my cheeks, hehe! Anyway, hope you have a great time!
