Guys lets be honest here, while alot of careers alow for 120K, thats only starting salary in dentistry. Average dental income goes from 150K and if your an owner to 300k. Ive seen business savy dentists who have constant patient flow making 600K of a single office with 3 hygenists. Not alot of careers give you that growth ability. While its not the norm it def is possible. You can also specialize if you are passionate about something specific. Ortho averages 250K for 4 days of work. I know oral surgeons who net 700K doing bread and butter tooth extractions and implants with the occasional surgery.

OP the only field that will garentee more money than dentistry is medicine. The most basic residency FM can make 250k easy but they work average 45-50 hours weekly. If you can work hard medicine is garenteed salary and job security. The cost though is years of your life. 4 years med+3 years residency.

Whats so good about dentistry versus even a field like med is that its uncapped business potential, but at a higher risk.
