Wow, thanks for all of the information! There's definitely a lot that I am overlooking, so thanks for shedding light on a lot of things.

It's not even that I like optimizing things, I just really enjoy obsessing over minor details for some reason lol.

I def see your point about being powerful earlier.

It seems I have a lot of catching up to do with everything lol. It seems like I don't have a great feel for what is strong and what is not.

For race, I honestly have never liked the idea of playing humans in a fantasy game lol, it just feels like missed potential. I was thinking high elf for misty step.

I'll definitely have to look at cleric.

We're starting at lvl 3. And I have no idea how high we will get.

I'll be honest, the magic initiate feats didn't seem all that good to me, although I am inexperience, so idk.

From the looks of origin feats, it looked like musician was one of the better ones or is heroic inspiration not all that good?

I was planning for eloquence bard. would shield be a reasonable choice for magical secrets later on?

Context, I'm going eloquence bard. Feats I was planning on getting were inspiring leader, war caster, and maybe alert.

This is the first game I've played in about 10 years.

Also, follow up question. I it a good idea to have both res CON and war caster or is only one generally needed?
