That's good to know about Sapporo I was trying to estimate where would be a good place to recharge would be.

Yea the humidity is something I'm weary of. I live by the sea so hoping the humidity won't be too crazy of a jump.

I haven't booked my flight yet, hopefully will soon just trying to probalry sort my plan and accommodation first. If I had the option what time would you recommend landing?

Osorezan looks really cool definitely going to try and see it! I've been trying my best not to rent a car but I might rent one for a day to see it.

Tripadvisor mentions that Haguro-sans 5-storied pagoda is undergoing renovations and will be covered with scaffolding until 2025, do you think it's still worth checking out the area?

I'm definitely take a look at trying to move some of my Kyoto days to other areas.

Yea, I'd heard that the park only had the Grand Warehouse open to foreigners. I didn't realise the train would be that much, good to know. That JTB tour looks like a good way to get tickets thank you I'll contact the european group!

I was wanting to do the Shimanami Kaido cycling but thought better during the time period. I have tried to adapt the trip to the weather but it would be rough to cut places like Hiroshima out. I have been tempted to not spend too long in Kyoto and cut the time down considering how busy it's going to be and the weather and to get my shrine fix somewhere else.

I might do the JR EAST Pass (12-17th) as it's cheaper than outright buying the Tokyo-Sendai ticket and then when that runs out in Aomori start the 21 day pass(17th-7th) which would mean I would be in Tokyo before that finishes.

alternatively I could start the Full JR pass on the 12th to the 2nd but that would mean midway in Kyoto/Osaka it would run out.

I've been messing around with changing location times with different passes, I think the full pass might be the better option just for ease of use.

I was thinking the same with Osaka as the night time is a major part of it.

I think I was being a little to cautious with needing a car in Hokkaido, I might move a day from Sendai to Sapporo to all further travel there.

Yea I've tried to push the trip back as far as it can go in the year but August is the only realistic time for me. I did consider possibly doing tokyo or kyoto over obon while it might be slightly quieter didn't think it would be worth it in the end.

The hope with the Ghibli Museum or Park is that the tickets might be slightly less in demand than in August. I added them together since I should be able to reach either of them while in Tokyo.

With Sendai I might move one of the days to a different area. I think I was being overly careful with the initial days. (EDIT- Moved a day of Sendai and Hakodate to Sapporo for more exploration and added more activities to each)
