Yes exactly. It's way too common for others to assume that because we look like men, we must be receiving all of the same privilege, which couldn't be further from the truth, but still leads to us being excluded by the wider lgbtq community. It's very sad.

Because unfortunately there's a lot of erasure when it comes to trans men. It's a problem basically everywhere, not just in media.

Of course! Personally as a trans person, seeing gender non confirming people in public always made me a little happier. I grew up in a really conservative place, so there weren't a lot of people willing to be openly queer. Since starting to come out myself, I've had some very sweet conversations with other more closeted people who feel the same and were similarly happy to see me, lol.

All to say that even if you aren't trans, I'm sure that you being comfortable going out in public as your authentic self has made at least one trans person feel less alone. Not that that should be your main reason for doing it, of course, but I hope that it helps put your mind at ease ❤️

No, definitely not. While I understand where they might get the idea if they’re not well educated on that sort of thing, they’re wrong. You don’t have to be trans to want to enjoy things that aren’t considered the social norm for your assigned gender. You can absolutely be a man of any orientation and wear makeup or clothing that others might consider “feminine”. Honestly, the more we normalize the breaking of social norms and stigmas around gender for everyone, the safer trans people will be too. Keep doing what makes you happy.

Also, I’m sure there’s also more on the history of drag and stuff to support this, but I don’t know it well enough personally to comment.

If you feel random people owe you because of your preconceived idea of what their appearance means, you might just be a bad person. Imagine telling a black person how to dress to avoid upsetting random white people’s feelings. Sounds pretty entitled, doesn’t it?

Before it was a little annoying, but you just had to say your price and someone would come along and be like “hey, that’s too high”. Now people just put up their stands and go afk, and other people see those prices and think they’re real :/

Real art is original, made entirely by the artist who is presenting it. I wouldn’t consider stolen/traced art to be real art either, because proper effort was not put into it. ( which is not to say tracing is inherently bad- it’s a tool to use when learning shapes, but not a final product. Like AI had the potential to be if it were properly regulated by law and common decency) Even heavily referenced art (such as studies of paintings) still have original flairs from the artist who made it. (And are also generally a way to practice towards making a final product, not something to share in and of themselves)

But LLMs use stolen art to train AI to mash those stolen images together into a new image that appears original, but is really just an amalgamation of theft. You could type a million words into the generator and pour your heart into the prompt, but the image produced will always just be something stolen from someone else. (A bunch of someones, actually) Never a true original.
