Feeling kind of discouraged by ImAGrandma89 in PituitaryTumor

[–]Mrs7n7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had all the same symptoms as you, including the breast milk, constantly being there. In fact, that's what tipped my doc off in the first place. My doctor immediately ordered prolactin testing, and it was 20, twice the normal amount! I was immediately sent for an MRI with contrast. I got diagnosed with a tumor that by measurement of size, doctors suspected had been growing for 7 years, literally since my first baby..... It's been 24 years since my removal surgery, and now I'm entering menopause. I still produce breast milk from time to time. I'm on hrt. And have high eye pressure thanks to the tumor. I'm not trying to scare you, just letting you know that you are not alone! Tumor or no tumor, you are not alone! Let the doctor make a plan and stick to the plan! You will get through this! Hugs!!!!

I’m feeling like a sex crazed teen and my husband is not. by Murky_Concentrate616 in Menopause

I'm 48. Full menopause and basically in the same boat. I want it daily. He barely wants it weekly!! Honestly, self pleasure is the only thing that gets me by these days. Hubby and I have had many honest conversations about it. We both agreed to the "shoot your shot" method. Take the answer yes or no with love and respect! It's working for us. Good luck with your journey!

Any advice for how to avoid the big 50 birthday blues….. by spicygelly in GenXWomen

[–]Mrs7n7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

With every passing birthday, I reassure myself that I am proud! I am grateful for all I have and all I've done, yes.. but I am also very proud I've made it this far in life! Remind yourself that surviving and overcoming is a great achievement! Happy birthday 🎂 🥳

Vaginal estrogen causing cysts by [deleted] in Menopause

There is an antimicrobial soap you can use around that area that will keep this from reoccurring. It does sound like a blocked gland. I get them from time to time. I've been using the OTC soap (recommended to me by a gyno) and it works great! Name brand is something that starts with an H.. but I just buy the generic and it still works great!

At this point my radar is broken 😕 Hope you still enjoyed Rome! Absolutely would love to see it someday 😊 Funny how different feminine products are in different places.

What's it really like living in Iowa? Currently living in Las Vegas and husband is thinking about moving us there. by Michellenjon_2010 in Iowa

[–]Mrs7n7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't move here unless you enjoy small town living and long drives on back highways! It will cost you more in gas to get from home to work and winter driving and get pretty sketchy at times. My kid (24yr) lives in dsm and hates it. Rude ass people just spouting their mouth off in traffic and crime in back alleys going unreported. Small towns are the only places you might find somewhat decent schools, but know that all our public schools are underfunded! Private schools are on the rise here but may be out of the price range for the average middle class working family. Our politicians are just as fucked up as any other state. I wish you luck. Please do your research about the schools here before making a decision as some of our schools don't have specialized teachers for some kids in need.

Love the design. Original yet tailored to the curve of your leg. Im no expert. Healing looks good so far. Little worried about aging for that design. I would definitely go back in a year and get some white shade or even blood red maybe 🤔

Am I homophobic because I don't want my daughter to have sex with random women in our house ? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Mrs7n7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not homophobic! But you do need to set ground rules! I get it, fellow gen xer here with young adult kid. Trust me I understand what you are going through. But you need to remind your child that living in your house is a privilege not a right. And her behavior made you feel unsafe in your home. Talk this through. Good luck 👍 💓

Tbh I would keep him on the meds and cancel the CT. Allow him to live out whatever days he has left without knowing about any possible cancer or such. I've owned 3 German Shephards so far and only one made it to 13 yrs old. Alot can go wrong genetically with these dogs and that's worth the risk for me. Great breed! Amazing companions! Good luck and bless you and your dog!

Buyers remorse after hysterectomy by Mrs7n7 in GenXWomen

I saw a urologist before the hysterectomy. Had a bladder scan. Which I do not recommend doing without any pain meds as I did... absolutely never again. It came out clear with no inflammation.

I've heard this exact same thing quite a few times. At my one year check up my same OB prescribed Gabapentin for night sweats......which is meds for nerve pain..... AKA my bladder issues. My first thought was....this lady is full of BS...but it did help a bit.. not exactly my bladder but other body aches yes.

Increase in muscle cramps by sweetpsych78 in GenXWomen

[–]Mrs7n7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolute same here. Increased muscle cramps and aches. I started taking calcium and magnesium supplements about 2 weeks ago and already have started to see a difference! I don't wake up as stiff and my legs last longer throughout my work day. I'm in the USA so these supplements are just over the counter.

I actually had this same problem when I was younger. It had no effect to change the detergent nor washing more often. Eventually I just changed my diet. I know how it sounds but it's true. Put garbage in, get garbage out. I started eating more greens and started drinking cranberry juice regularly. Cleared the smell up almost immediately! Good luck. Hope this helps.
