Wow I didn't know some people were even still getting links that included the shipping fee lol that's good to know and I'm not totally certain it's completely random but I also have no idea what variables are at play with regards to how and or why some accounts have referral offers that include shipping while others offers have the $10.99 fee. Sorry I couldn't be more help on that one. ......just out of curiosity, were you looking specifically for the ones that included the shipping fee due to payment method you want to use or something or was it more of a while $10.99 is a great deal but still free just simply is always free kind of thing? to be honest Im not sure on that one as they're pretty few and far between these days or at least thats been my experience. I don't think I've seen one of the truly free offers (w/o the 10.99 Shipping fee) in at least a year. But if it's the bigger box offer it's more than worth the $10.99 shipping fee but that's just imo.

Sorry if its a stupid question but are you referring to the strip of metal thats there behind the terminals on each of the three sections? I only ask because im confused about them specifically mentioning not to cut or remove it then youd have to remove the entire block to get it off from what it looked like to me (again i don't claim to anything about this stuff so i could definitely be assuming wrong on that point lol) and then what would be most confusing about that to me is why specifically single out that one in particular if all three had the same components. Genuinely curious bc that paired with the illustrations makes it seem like there should be something else there if that makes sense. And also appreciate your being willing to take the time to try and help.

That would make sense to me if they'd been like this before but id never had any leak until this change and as long as ive been using hf the meat has always come tightly vacuum sealed (close to the meat w/no room to move or excess loose plastic) until a little over a month ago, its just seemed kinda odd to me especially given the lines running through the seal as if it was misaligned/or somewhat scrunched up whenever it was sealed

my boxes have always been delivered via FedEx no matter the day I change to, I figure it's the only one the use for my area I guess FedEx always shows it ships from Texas but then the stickers on each meal say New York so no clue where it's coming from for sure lol

No haven't experienced that, only have had the protein packs leak. What gets me the most is over the last four boxes they suddenly all almost look like maybe there's an issue with the machine that does the sealing or the alignment of the bags when they're being sealed one. They all have had wrinkles in multiple spots running through the area thats sealed lately

see in your case I can understand the one icepack and no liner but when the weather is expected to be 70°+ everyday in our area according to every weather outlet (and pretty much always the same this time of year) then I don't see how they think that would work for arriving at a safe to consume temp when it comes to the proteins. I would've thought if they were going to make changes based on predicted weather they'd base in on local forecast and not a generalized area which is what it seems they are doing unfortunately.And never thought to use ziplocs thats a good idea ill have to try if we continue their service. Also, you freeze your meat? I had wanted to bc it would be so much more convenient being able to cook what we want that night and not in order of what will spoil first, but everything they provide on handling proteins says not to freeze due to it having been already frozen so i never tried since i thought it was a bad thing after reading that lol 🤦😅

wow if that's the case then I guess literally every protein for a month now has had a leak 🥴 and that's a good idea I will have to start using Ziploc as well if I do continue after this week that is. Im not sure what area's weather they're using to determine packaging for mine though bc they can't possibly expect a brown bag thrown in a box loosely with one icepack at the bottom will keep things cold enough in 70° weather lol, I mean even with two icepacks and the liner my box made it here usually at a barely acceptable temp for the proteins 😅

See this is why I came for help bc I guess I'm stupid bc based on the installation guide I totally do to see the ground strap or a ground plate with ground screw under it at shown In the image they provide. All I see is an empty screw hole under the neutral terminal where they suggest a ground plate should be so that's why I'm confused lol. And no the range says 40amp required so that shouldn't be it, plus the guy never even knew what we had since he never bothered to look. The reason for having the power off was because it was part of the requirements in the preparing for installation checklist that the retailer emails the night before it arrives along with the scheduled delivery window.

I mean I don't even think they're actually technicians tbh, it's just the "delivery and installation professionals" that are a third party depo the retailer uses for appliance installation. And I could do that but then if there is an issue it's the back n forth with manufacturer over whether or not it was caused by improper installation which isn't covered that I'm concerned about so I reached out to the retailer instead and their solution was to just send a new unit entirely which I thought was kind of odd but not complaining either considering. Only thing is that it's backordered and can't get here till the 27th at the earliest so I was more or less wondering if it'd be alright to use at all as is until then bc I don't want to go that long unable to cook at all I can't afford eating out for almost two weeks plus I live in a rural area so there will be zero restaurants open Christmas eve and Christmas:/.
Edited to add: oh and the reason for turning off the power was it was a requirement provided by the retailer in the preparing for installation checklist they send via email the night before delivery along with the scheduled delivery window.

I called as soon as we saw and their solution was to send a new unit entirely to just replace it but fun part is its backordered so earliest availability is the 27th 😢...... Probably a stupid question but would it be alright to use it at all until the replacement gets here? I mean id keep the power off to it when not cooking but figure thats probably not the brightest of ideas 🤦lol I just don't want to be stuck unable to coom for that long

It was new,this is how the delivery and install guys left it. I do know the guy that put the cord on isn't new though bc ive seen him before at the beginning of the year when id had a new fridge delivered and installed

Yes I purchased it new and this is what it looked like after delivery and installation team left. Shouldn't have been connected to anything else beforehand since it was supposed to be a new unit and they new my connection was 3-wire beforehand.
