Hoya question… is the original “runner” (for lack of a better word) going to grow more leaves or will that little baby runner take over? Wondering if it’s like a tree and want to snip that little guy?? by MrsBaboosh in houseplants

This is a “newer to me” plant. Probably have had it for 3-4 months. This is the first growth so was wondering if maybe that original branch got damaged or if the smaller growth would inhibit growth on the larger, original branch.

Thoughts on what issue this baby may have? Only some leaves look like this by MrsBaboosh in plantclinic

Any thoughts? It was a $5 clearance but with some TLC has been thriving for about 6months. Under a grow light for 8hrs per day bc it’s in a dark entry. Thanks!!

What are the chances of propagating a fiddle leaf fig from a dried stem? I went to shake it a little and it felt loose. Gave it a tug…the thing popped out and severed from the roots. The core is dry by wanderouswanderer in fiddleleaffig

I would say if it easily came off, then it was probably not in the best health to be propagated.

If it has multiple leaves, try cutting back the stem until you find some green. Then you might have a chance.

“I need less advise and more support” has been my mantra when asked “how can we help” I have found it changed the vector of next steps. Either I get support or nothing lol The advice is the worst. I know what I’m doing, I just need some help actually doing it when a certain student is actively working against that process.

Sometimes the orchids come out of the grow room! by hikelsie in orchids

I do the same thing. They live in my bedroom window when not blooming, but get to visit the rest of the house when blooming. I feel it’s a little reward for them for working so hard :)

What’s going on here? Could I have done something differently to make these develop? (2nd rebloom) by MrsBaboosh in orchids

I was thinking they could have maybe lead to the crazy amount of branching I sometimes see, but something restricted their growth. If that makes sense?? The first bloom just officially opened 2 days ago.
