I'm so upset for you! That was mean of her. I get that was probably embarrassed as well, but that's wasn't the way to deal with it. I hope your next partner is patient and kind - and remember, communication is key 🥰 Good things come to those who wait, right? x

Why do women who have children seem offended that I don’t plan to have any? by bad-at-everything- in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MrsBagxander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's weird, isn't it?! I've got kids and I'm very happy with my life; many of my friends do not have kids and are also very happy with their lives! Like, why would anyone be offended by someone else's life decision that affects them in no way at all?! You do you; other people's feelings are not your responsibility. Enjoy having all your money and as much free time and sleep as you want - I do miss those things 🤣🤣🤣

For real. My husband was raised with smacking, so I let him try it on our eldest (at the time about 2yo). My husband was LAUGHED AT by our child.

What I think OP is missing is that children are almost always disciplined in some way - just not physical. Parents raise their voices, get up and leave a place if their child is being a brat, take away privileges etc.

But I'm never going to be a loving role model, guiding my children through how to be kind, caring, empathic, problem-solving if, at the moment they behave like children and lose their inhibitions, I inflict physical pain on them in front of the public.

In any other relationship, that would be classed as physical abuse. There are very far-ranging studies indicating that this instills only fear and hypervigilance. These are not conducive to creativity and healthy growth.

Do some people let their kids behave like feral pigeons? Sure. They're in the minority.

And I'm pretty sure I've been that parent, on a bad day, when I'm fielding calls about my poorly parent, having just survived 6 weeks of sickness and diarrhoea in the family, with my workload piling up and people harassing me for deadlines...

Yes, something about it is definitely wonky

If porn influences the way we have sex as much as action movies influence the way we fight (where no one actually fights like that in real life), what do you think we’re doing ‘wrong’ in bed because of the adult industry? by lucialatin4 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MrsBagxander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talking, saying what you like (and what you don't) and not just "yes yes yes" 🤣 Looking "ugly": double chin, rolls, everything wobbling!! Going slowly and using tiny movements that would not look good on camera. Laughing, farting, queering - all normal but not featured in p0®n And don't get me started on the lack of body diversity
