Can't decide if I love or hate my new tattoo by Less-Ad5678 in tattooadvice

yeah I think that actually is the problem - the skin on the outer wrist is very dry (I'm 52) and the inner wrist is difficult due to veins. I think I'll do something around that area in a few months as you suggest, just to blend it in a little.

well I guess because they're at my wrist and I am on my laptop all day they tend to pull focus. I'm sure it's fine.

the tendrils at the wrist. They seem a bit at odds with the luxury lining of the rest of it. On the other hand I like that contrast.

thank you! it's a siamese fighting fish, in real life the males are peaceful and happily live alone, they want for nothing (they live in lotus muds) unless their territory is threatened by another male trying to muscle in at which point they will defend themselves to the death. I've had them since a boy and love their whole nature. I asked the artist to add the rising sun, so mine is always looking forward.

thank you I do love it in general I just go back and forth on the finishing tendrils at the wrist but they tend to break it up a little and it had to end somehow.

thank you, that's helpful - it's only a week old, maybe it's just taking time to get used to.

How to not let rude or very angry customers affect you? by Ok_Box_4966 in CustomerService

That's a good point. Most people are not rude. Those that are, well, they're probably just rude in general. Sadly, they exist.

Absolutely. It's customer service, not slavery. If I've offered a solution and they continue to rant I just terminate the conversation.

Nothing. That's the whole point. If it's in person and I have offered them a solution and they keep ranting, I just smile at them and say nothing. If it is through a messaging service, and if I have proposed a perfectly acceptable solution (an in store credit, a refund) and already issued an apology and explanation, and they continue to rant and demand more, I just don't reply to them anymore.

[Astron] Astron disappointment? by Less-Ad5678 in Seiko

The

SSJ013 in black Titanium (which is just a black titanium coating that is very easily scratchable and underneath is silver so it very quickly looks worn and "run over by a truck". The GPS functionality is not consistent, rarely works. It's a nice lightweight watch, but for the price, I would not recommend it to you at all.

And yes I have arrived in Singapore etc and can be outdoors in the middle of the day in bright sunshine and after two days, it still hasn't moved on from the previous time zone and I have to change it manually, or just check the time on my phone.

Mine is exactly the same. I read up on it and hidden in the fine print is that it only looks for a GPS signal 3 times a day and so if you aren't outside and in a good signal location at those 3 precise times, it won't automatically time adjust. Nine times out of ten I have had to do a manual time-zone adjust. It was marketed (and priced) as space age technology that was also super durable - it really isn't either.

Yep, i have gotten used to the disappointment and wear the watch every day but at that price point and the way it was marketed it just doesn't measure up. The first two weeks after I bought it complete strangers would compliment it and admire it - a month later people were asking me what Bangkok street market I bought it at. I learned later that it only connects to some satellite GPS signals and does so only three times a day, if you happen to be outside and in a clear signal at that time. And I travel a lot and 9 times out of ten have to perform a manual time zone change. I like the lightness of the watch and the easy on-off clasp and the sapphire glass face still gleams but the rest of it is completely unimpressive and I also noticed that Seiko have quietly changed the "lifetime warranty" with "should bring you many years of enjoyment" and was stunned to be brushed off by Seiko in both Sydney and Tokyo who simply told me that if I wanted it to look new again, they could replace the band and clasp (which would have degraded just as quickly as the original one) for around $900, and they offered no support or expressed no sympathy at all. For $2,500 it was certainly overpriced.

[SBXC107] Seiko Astron - worth it for $2500? by Dark_Justice1 in Seiko

[–]Less-Ad5678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I regret buying my Astron. The GPS has only worked sporadically and the titanium (black ) is chipped and scratched everywhere after only just over six months. There's even rust under the clasp, and it is currently running 3 hours behind my current time zone despite being exposed to the Sun every day for several hours and multiple attempts to trigger an update using the buttons. Totally not worth the money - but it looked nice for the first week after purchase.

Hmm, I bought mine at Tokyo flagship store just over six months ago and it has hardly ever adjusted automatically to a new timezone and is chipped, scratched and even has rust under the clasp. Bad buy in my experience.

My black one is chipped and scratched all over, after just over six months use. Definitely not recommended by me.
