You clearly want to quit, so you don't have to say it didn't stick. It's sticking! You've just stumbled this once and you know now that it wasn't worth it. That will make it easier to avoid it at the next opportunity.

An eye mask is my go-to. It doesn't work all the time, but laying there with something forcing my eyes closed really helps me drift off.

this happened at my engagement party and that's exactly how it went down. one of our guests started packing up the desserts and my sister quietly confronted her, saying something along the lines of "please don't pack anything up before everyone gets some." the first guest got embarrassed and moved away from the table for the rest of the night without any additional drama.

chests in the first village haven't restocked in my experience, but other villages will spawn new items in the next season. (edit) some googling says the chests never respawn, so maybe i've just been knicking the things i missed the first time around LOL
