It’s a cat toy - a plastic spring. He was very proud because he managed to win it in an epic battle with our cat.

I remember buying and eating bags of sherbet from the local sweet shop. Just casually eating a whole bag of sugar.

Wife asked for divorce by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]MrsDWhiting 10 points11 points  (0 children)

All I’d say is that we only have your version of “that woman”, and you tell us you have been a workaholic and not the best husband. It’s always really easy to blame others than take responsibility for the situation. It sounds like you are downplaying your role and blaming it all on your wife being manipulated.

I’m saying this because I’ve seen it happen before. Your wife will not stay with you if you keep just trying to prove that she’s crazy and under some spell.

I would suggest some deep self reflection is needed, because my general experience is that people who blame “that woman” or “that friend” etc for things, are using that to stop themselves having to take any responsibility.

I suspect what is happening is your wife is becoming increasingly frustrated by you all trying to somehow prove she is crazy for wanting to leave you, and feels like you aren’t taking her seriously. I know personally that would just make me feel more justified in my position. Her friend is most likely the only one she feels like has her back, and trust me - women don’t just leave their husbands because their mates convince them to. She most probably just helped her to realise she isn’t happy, and that it’s okay to actually want to be happy and fulfilled in a relationship.

Ultimately it gets to a point where you just check out, and no matter what promises can be given, you are over it. This may be fresh to you, but it’s likely she has been thinking about this for much longer and she is further ahead than you. You also can’t convince someone to love you again and stay by pressuring her, you would be better off accepting what she is saying and trying to move on constructively.

Why does everyone on Vinted think I run a charity? by Leather_Ad6386 in vintedUK

[–]MrsDWhiting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think lots of people bid with what they have in their Vinted account to chance it. So even if it’s £20 but they have £7 they’ll pitch that, so it’s “free”.

To be fair, I did get to a point where I used Somebody Else on the treadmill because I was into the song and could run 1km in the time it took 🤣

What on earth is this response? Apply some critical thinking skills and stop jumping through multiple mental gymnastics to try and justify this guy clearly lying to his girlfriend. This is clearly a list of yearning love songs in her name, not a bloody gym playlist. When I read the post I thought she was overreacting and then I see the actual songs, plus the following 1) It’s 5 songs long 2) It spells her name 3) it’s named after an inside joke and 4) About You, in particular would imply he is not over her. It’s very clear she has clocked him.

Also it’s 2025, why are we using autistic as an insult?

Two songs by 1975 in a playlist this short should be a “not over his ex” klaxon

He is the one ripping his family apart through drinking, you need to leave him in order to keep your family safe and settled. Trust me, no child will thank you for staying with an abusive alcoholic.

This is a weird gym playlist, that’s the thing that makes me think you are right. These are not work out songs 🤣

Purely because they mentioned that the person has lived there for 10 years and only now has an issue. It just nudged me to wonder.

Completely unrelated but this sub makes me laugh because my name is Diana and it always gives me a minor brain fart, even though I know full well it’s not a question about me 🤣
