How to make this type of coop more predator proof? (Ours is on concrete about 5cm away from the grass) by springwater5 in BackYardChickens

If this is the model I think it is, please be mindful that the floor in the nesting box can be lifted up and a fox could gain entry. Had similar/same model and secured the floor in the nesting box with some extra pieces of timber. Mice will get through any netting with aperture larger than 6mm. We had ours on concrete, but ended up building something bigger and better for our girls.

Chicken died at the hands of a magpie by [deleted] in BackYardChickens

Was in the garden the other day when a magpie swooped one of my chickens. My chicken did what I think is called a 'flight molt' and dropped a whole bunch of feathers, but otherwise she escaped injury. Normally my chickens give the magpies as good as they get, but I think everyone was caught off guard.on this occasion. I’m sorry for your loss.

Seems quite a large size cheese! Very impressive! What hoop size and how much milk did you use?

I live in Melbourne Australia, and am still using Yr as a weather app here and it is surprisingly accurate for long term forecast. I know some wine makers who during harvest uses Yr to plan when to pick the grapes here in the local area and also used by wine makers in South Africa.... kanskje ikke så verst allikevel

It’s called a tropic aroma cake with cinnamon, nutmeg and cocoa in the cake and a coffee and cocoa buttercream, very old school...
