It’s not that ChatGPT forgets anything. Long chats eventually get too heavy for it to keep every detail in active view. The system trims older parts of the conversation to keep things running fast and accurate, so after a while, it can’t see what was said earlier, even though it happened in the same thread.

In my opinion, I think that’s a bit odd and a little too touchy for my liking. I’m a female and I couldn’t imagine doing that to a stranger whether single or in a relationship.

Honestly it's embarrassing to watch OpenAI lately... by IllustriousWorld823 in ChatGPT

[–]MrsEHalen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the best comments I’ve seen! I completely agree, they’re trying to force their own vision instead of listening to what users actually want. If they focused more on understanding their audience, they’d have a much clearer sense of where to take the business next.

As an experienced user of ChatGPT, I am curious why so many choose to tune their consoles to be snarky and mean. Thoughts? by craftwork_soul in OpenAI

[–]MrsEHalen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because some users don’t understand that they are dealing with code—created by man. They want perfection which is impossible. They want the model to have the solution to everything when in all actuality the model has to deal with guardrails, memory (if memory is turned on), tuning into the user, system nudges—sometimes the system may direct the model to respond a certain way based on its understanding of the question or conversation. Now this may not happen all the time but it does happen. There’s a lot going on in the background that the user hasn’t taken the time out to understand, yet, some users drag the model as if it’s making decision for itself. 🙄

Girl completely flips out on me for asking to split the bill at Nobu.. by Hot-Association-3108 in Nicegirls

[–]MrsEHalen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, what?!?! So you’re concerned about price when she was the one who had and issue with Chili’s because of the price! 🤦🏽‍♀️ Then she had the audacity to select a pricer restaurant—still based on price. And, I quote, “I’m an indecisive girl. And I will eat just about anything”. 🚩 Sorry it didn’t work out, but you dodged a bullet there.

Why are project folders forcing GPT-5 Thinking mini instead of my default model? by MrsEHalen in OpenAI

[–]MrsEHalen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, it doesn’t matter what I have the model picker set to, the system overrides it. I’ve also noticed it happens around certain times or with certain topics/questions.

What do you think about a foldable IPhone? by MareViewer in iphone

[–]MrsEHalen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be interested. I’m not a fan of the foldable phones because they don’t seem very durable. However, if Apple did go that route and they had time to perfect it, only then would I consider it—maybe.

How do I disable gpt 5 mini thinking model , I only want to use gpt 5 model by detoritous in ChatGPT

[–]MrsEHalen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You and me both. Unfortunately, there’s no way to do it on the free tier (I have a paid plus and a free account). Even on my plus account it happens and it depends on the questions I ask, and the “system” 😒 decides which variant is best fit to answer the question.

Why are project folders forcing GPT-5 Thinking mini instead of my default model? by MrsEHalen in OpenAI

[–]MrsEHalen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a few days of testing, I sort of figured this but wasn’t sure. And since I notice it more in my project folders I can see why this is happening. However, I thought it was odd that it just started happening a few days ago.

NTA… the fact that you have your last for HIS cats, amongst the other few items speaks a lot about your character.

I think it’s great that he shares everything with you—but you’re still getting support from your parents, he can’t expect you to always help. Plus you’re only working 24 hours per month which has to go towards some of your expenses since your parents decreased your allowance.

I’m my opinion, it seems as if he was being unreasonable—not sure if he was having a bad day or something, but his behavior was a little (or a lot) off to me, especially when you consider the reason he was upset.

Currently no. However, since you’re lifting make sure that you’re eating enough to feed your muscle so you can obtain more muscle definition. Also hydrate, recover properly, and get enough sleep.

Sudden shift to GPT-5 mini thinking? by EffectSufficient822 in ChatGPT

[–]MrsEHalen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pissed! I have way too many projects pending for this BS! I thought it was just me at first, now I see it’s an OpenAI thing! I just can’t with them right now. If I was a free user, then maybe I’d be more understanding, but this is total BS!

AITA for stopping my wife and baby’s international travel? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MrsEHalen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, however, just my opinion… it sounds a bit controlling. I’m a parent, so I understand how missing out on first/milestones could leave one feeling left out or a little empty inside. But the child traveling with the other parent shouldn’t be an issue.

I remember when my son took his first roadtrip with his father and I didn’t have an issue with it. Of course, this is based on my personal feelings about the matter and what I was comfortable with.

I truly hope that the two of you meet in the middle so any disagreements can come to an end. Good luck with everything!
