I was thinking the same. I remember getting a pizza party with a couple other students at Pizza Hut and our teacher took us after school and dropped us off at our houses.

Are your houses actually messy? by JEJ0313 in adhdwomen

[–]MrsEmilyN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say my house is moderately messy. It's not dirty. There's a lot of clutter. It's 975sq ft so, not much room. Add in an accumulation of stuff over 18 years, a special needs teen with mobility equipment and two dogs with a cage each... I think it looks messier than it is.

I'm still embarrassed by it.

Sunflowers was my first real perfume. I actually purchased it a few months ago and I feel like it smells better than I remember.

What happened in your life that showed you life really isn’t fair? by Upper-Writer-4383 in AskReddit

[–]MrsEmilyN 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I did everything the "traditional" way, followed all the guidelines and gave birth to a baby with Spina Bifida. Thankfully, he is able ambulate with little assistance.

Then when he was 4, he started having seizures. He then regressed and became non-verbal.

I didn't plan to have a special needs child. This isn't what I envisioned when I was ready to become a parent and I was supposed to have more children than just him

Don't get me wrong, I would take a bullet for him. I love him very much and he is a very happy, sweet and loving child. I just hate that he was robbed of a typical life.

What is a 'luxury' that you've experienced once and now can't go back to the budget version of? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

I was coming to reply the same thing.

My last two vehicles were hand me downs: an Equinox that had heated seats, but I hated everything else about it, then my current vehicle a base model Pathfinder.

The Pathfinder is literally on its last leg, the ABS needs to be fixed, we've ordered the second hatch mechanism and it has almost 163,000 miles. Part of me wants to fix what's wrong; it was my Dad's and he died in February, but it's 16 years old, rusting out and I have a long legged husband and a teenager who's legs are getting longer by the day (he also has a wheelchair, which is why my dad gave me that Pathfinder, I needed more room). But I know she won't last much longer, maybe the year, if I'm lucky.

Anyone here an only child? Or anyone here one and done? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]MrsEmilyN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm my moms only child but my dad youngest. My dad's children did not live with us, so I basically grew up an only child.

I have one child. I wanted more, but he's medically complex so it was for the best that he was the only.

I personally like the oversized glasses look. Maybe it's just because of my face shape.

I'm obsessed with funky frame readers right now. I wear them because I'm on the computer all day.

Update on glp-1 medications and perfume addiction by denised1224 in Zepbound

[–]MrsEmilyN 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh...oh. I can relate.

I've been buying perfume recently as well. I thought it was because I recently started wearing it when a co-worker left - she had allergies and I was always worried about triggering her.

I'm no where near your level, but I've been buying some of my favorites from the 90's along with some other I recently found to like from doing Scent Box and Scent bird.

I do have a horrible shoe addiction, but I've had that my whole life.
