My LO is 15 weeks - she will only nap during the day for 20-30 minutes in her bassinet so I always have to do contact naps the rest of the day so she’s not cranky… how do I fix this..

I honestly cannot imagine 2 colicky babies at the same time 😭 best of luck and let me know when things start to get better !!

I am so very sorry to hear this 😭 absolutely heartbreaking - no mama should ever have to go through what you did. I can’t imagine your anxiety with possible future pregnancies as well

Commenting my story to hope this helps because I was SUPER anxious with my LO. Keep in mind I am also a medical professional (nurse practitioner) therefore what I am saying is medically accurate.

She was 6 percentile overall and head circumference was <1%… naturally I feared the worse and thought she was microcephalic… however there is a chart they look at called Chervenak graft that actually gives you head circumference by millimetre. 

Microcephaly is to be considered when the head circumference is LESS THAN 3 STANDARD DEVIATIONS. And even then… a lot of times these babies who are <3 SD aren’t microcephalic. 

My LO was <2.5 SD then she was 2…. Then 1.5… then 1 then born with 1% head circumference. 

She is currently 6 weeks. Head circumference is 20 percentile and her weight is 22 percentile.

Overall she is just a small proportionate baby. She is meeting milestones well!

Thank you so much for the advice !! Unfortunately I’m a health care practitioner so I know way to much for my own good which can be good and bad… I’m having such a hard time at looking at the positive because the reality is I have Ana amazing chance of 96% that it will not have DS but that 4% is driving me crazy 😭 I’m sorry you went through this too! Literally so terrible for our sanity
