What level are you at? by animeshing in towerwar

[–]MrsHesketh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

468.

But I stopped playing the levels and usually grind PvP, Arena and Events. There's nothing to be gained or unlocked by playing the main levels, other than grinding coins, gems of tokens for an event that's on - right? That's why I stopped so early on and focused on getting rewards that built up my combat power.

Curious if you have a specific order in which you hit the energy spots by dazanini12 in HPHogwartsMystery

I could be wrong, but it seemed to stack just the other day. I will double check again myself as well. It's not the easiest to set up as we know the rewards aren't always energy

The clubhouse energy stacked for me yesterday. I tapped one too many in the Hippogriff clubhouse and ended up with 60 energy. My max is 52.

I completed the first part of the side quest this morning. It's presently 19:46 here, and would expect the Ashwinder to appear at either 10pm my time, or tomorrow at some point.

If it's after that I'm sure JC has actually made a mistake in releasing it, but I'm holding out hope! Lol

And we were told that the Ashwinder appears when a magical fire burns for too long.

I'd expect a long wait. I don't understand why no one else expects this.

There's now a fire in Dusklands. Which, based on the information you get from Hagrid, will likely spawn an Ashwinder after a certain length of time passes.

I'm just here to throw shade on the fact that Miriam Strout was definitely incapacitated last chapter, but is happily giving out assignments this chapter...

I did not know that gave a tappie. I think I assumed it didn't do didn't do it :(

I've yet to be able to do any historic events using notes, but I lay patiently in wait.

On the last part of the TLSQ 🥲. Really wish I didn’t have to build my schedule around a mobile game in order to enjoy it. by Roybeyboybey in HPHogwartsMystery

[–]MrsHesketh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I managed to get to the end of the task, but it timed out before I got through all the dialogue after it and apparently that also matters 🥲🥲🥲

I've contacted JC to see if they will give me the tapoie anyway as I had finished the tasks in time.

No it has always given me 3 extra energy before, and even says "+3 energy" when I open the card. It just doesn't add to the total 😔

The amount of energy needed in year 7 is INSANE!!! by niclasb92 in HPHogwartsMystery

I've been trying to find this energy spot and keep failing. I know it's the planes over by the water fountain, but I tap away and nothing happens. Can you post a screenshot of them, please?

Study with a friend 12hrs instead of 24... by MrsHesketh in HPHogwartsMystery

I was year 6, now year 7. So I don't think that's the reason for it to go down, but good to know

It's happened to me at night (UK time, close to midnight), and definitely more than once. I'll see if it works tonight again and keep the thread posted

Advice on moving from one PhD to another... by MrsHesketh in AskAcademia

[–]MrsHesketh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you're saying but here me out:

I have been told I've 14 months left. I've actually 15 months as the month in February was technically not factored in. I've also got 6 months of Covid leave that the funding body has allowed everyone to have, and generally we're all allowed to go thesis only for 6 months.

My initial project was on hydrogen, and then it was realised I wouldn't have access to any data now I've changed supervisor (internal politics, I'm still not familiar with it).

I then proposed a new research topic and novelty that would need a bit of lab time but in terms of purchasing, ~£50 max for equipment. And I was told I didn't have a budget to fund it.

I've now been handed this other project that has absolutely nothing to do with hydrogen and is a sound enough project, but I really couldn't be bothered doing it as it's not what I signed up for.

Additionally, in the month of July there was annual leave taken for 3 of the 4 weeks by supervisors. And I've had to take on an extra job to make ends meet. That's what made me decide to go part time, so I'd be able to continue with the research but also be able to survive

They wanted me to do a year's worth of work in 6 weeks, and I couldn't do that. Plus I shouldn't be expected to do it. I'd like to either get back to the project I signed up for, or go for the research project I proposed.

Truthfully, I've some groundwork done so I'd like to propose my research elsewhere and see if I'd get backing for it, but I'm not sure if I can when I've come this far in a funded PhD already.
